TRD 4x4 DCSB MT where's the Chrome Bumper?

Here's a sr with color matched bumpers.

Sr's always came that way.

 

I know ive seen SR's with the black non color matched bumper. I did some research and found that if the SR has the "convenience" package, it will have the color matched rear bumper.

 

Yes, the point being is the off-roads don't come with a color matched bumper unless it has the tech package with BSM, these ones are coming with them color matched without that package.

 

Has anyone had success with painting over the chrome as opposed to plasti dip or buying new caps? I was thinking of trying to find a matte white for mine im just not sure how well paint will stick to the plastic chrome crap. Im sure some sanding and primer will help but not sure i wanna give that a shot until i see if someone else has done it successfully

 

I'd love to see them start including color matched bumpers, as well as auto headlights and dual zone climate control. I didn't want the sunroof, but it pissed me off to have to sacrifice these items on a $35000 mini truck..

Look at the window sticker, it should explain everything.

 

I doubt that the window sticker is going to list color matched bumper. Toyota was probably just trying to get to a monthly # and ran out of bumpers. Include color match, and replace with chrome on an as-needed basis.

 

I would be surprised if it didn't, I've worked for Toyota since 09, if something's odd it's on the sticker somewhere. I'll go look at a few (if we have any lol)

 

I'd love it if you could have them add automatic headlights and dual-zone climate control to my order. I'm happy to have it included on the window sticker and I'll even pay for it.

I looked at the ORs on my lot, all have the chrome bumper except one which has pt.

I'd love someone to post the sticker of a OR that has the painted bumper and no PT

 

Hoping mine comes with the color matched bumper but knowing my luck it'll be chrome

 

All the Canadian off roads are access cab's with chrome bumpers

Our OR's have one level. No lane departure or Qi, but we get dual climate, navi and push button on the Autos.

I'd totally get a painted bumper if I were to stay with this truck long term. The SR grill was my limit.

All the 2nd gen OR's in Canada were easily spotted by the chrome bumpers.

 

Once mine comes in i plan on color matching the rear chrome bumper and the grille. Theres a thread where a guy color matched his grille to his BBP. Figured id use the same process for the chrome junk
