I will - it's great when I'm the slow truck in the right lane going 85 on our highways.

If it your first time towing, you have a little of a learning curve. You shouldn't expect your taco to be able to perform like it's empty.
Been towing bass boats for 20 years, taco is up to the task. Now is it the best not by far, but it does as well as older 1/2 tons I've used. As a all around between towing some and daily driver with lots of munervabilty it's great. Tow in the right gear , get brakes on your trailer (must) and drive conservatively and it will do the job. Now if you have 4 men and tons of gear and a heavily loaded master craft for skiing and have to drive far to the lake than you should have bought a full size jmho

OP complains about gas mileage in truck and has a Mastercraft 19' boat! ummmm does not compute.

Next outing... get gas in truck first then gas up boat.. will complain about gas mileage in boat instead of truck.

Correct, I believe it was only 500 rpm difference to achieve the same torque. The issue like you said is the transmission.

I'm just kidding guys, I'm sure your trucks are great. I test drove a '16 before I bought my '15 and was not impressed but it's different strokes for different folks! Enjoy your rides!

Gotcha, I would have them weighed, I'd bet its a more but 3200 is not terrible.

That doesn't seem right. I'm not a boat guy but a simple google search of 19' Mastertcrafts with trailers are 4800+ dry and near 5,500 when filled with fuel and gear.

    None as of yet
I have yet to pull my 20' eliminator more than a half mile with an engine let alone on the highway but that thing is a light weight compared to a mastercraft so take my advice with a grain of salt, but going off the manual use ECT mode to keep the revs up, it pushes the shift points back to keep the engine at peak power like the tow/haul button on other trucks, and use S mode and bump it down to 4th gear, it keeps the truck out of the two overdrive gears. And are you getting for fuel economy number wise and are you towing up hills or flat ground, makes a huge difference.

I had a 2005 19 Foot Mastercraft X-7, it weighed in at 2800 dry... so 3400 to 3500 with gas and gear. Trailer was another 700 to 900 pounds.

You're probably under 5,000lbs. The truck should tow it OK on flat land. It just won't be happy towing it. Your gas mileage will probably be in the 12 to 13 range at best....

I wouldn't want to tow 5k lbs with this truck more than once or twice a year and never up or down a decent grade.

Guessing it's a single axle trailer. Weight still seems low though. Another note that's dry weight. 30 gallon fuel tank add 240 pounds. Wakeboards, life jackets, that stupid PDF4 floaty they give you a ticket for, food, ice chests, add in the tower because they are not always calculated in the weight, ballast tanks even though they are empty while towing, and people. All of it adds up quick. The 21' Malibu my buddy has is dry weight 3400 pounds off the top of my head, add in tandem trailer 1200 pounds. Post up a pic or model of the boat if you can.
