I just "watched" this thread. Is that how I can be best notified when you have more 1st gen ones available? And how do I order a specific color combo?

I'd love to grab that for my 1st gen. However, just got turned on to you and your product. What do I need to know for install? If I don't have a stock battery (i.e. different Length, width, or depth) will this still work? I know someone early on stacked washers, but you said you'd come up with a solution for that... Lastly, is this any stronger than the stock one, or more for looks? Thank you! Any other mods I need to do to make this work?

 

You unbolt the stock hold down and remove it. The is a J hook in back and a bolt that attached to the radiator core support.

If your battery is taller than stock, then you may need to shim the front attachment to the radiator core support. The j-hook in the back has vertical adjustment.

This battery hold down has adjustable blocks on the bottom side. These slide in and out, You adjust these to fit the width of your battery.

Lately I have been shipping with all hardware needed to install + a couple of plastic shims for the front attachment. These shims are only necesary if your battery is taller than stock.

I would say it is stronger than stock, but I do not know if the stock one was particularly bad.

I was approached by a member on this forum to makes these for the 1st gen group. I had made a different model for the 2nd & 3rd gen group for a while.

 

Okay, Got it! So you include all the hardware including the spacers and shims. Also this hold-down is specific for first gen, correct? Is there a skinny or thick option? Like I said I haven't followed you from the beginning of this thread, sorry.

 

For the 1st gen there is only one configuration and it's just for the 1st gen.
