@Coupe I would love a 1st gen one! Not picky on color just whatever is cheapest. Also do you know if these would fit a 3rd gen 4runner?

does anyone have a part number for a factory hook that's longer than the OEM one? I don't want to use two different SAE bolts to undo my battery. Rather just stick with the two 12mm fasteners if possible. Seen some FJ and Camry J hooks that look longer, but not sure what is best.

the OEM hook on my og 1st gen did not fit into this piece unless the hole was drilled bigger in the back, and then it was not long enough :(

Same, but mainly I just want to use two 12mm fasteners. I don't like any SAE fasteners on my truck, needlessly confusing.

i can see your point there if you are removing your battery semi-frequently!
over 23 years i may have removed mine personally only a couple of times is all
battery shop did it the other 2 times

yep, also I won't remember what the hell size to use when I do need to replace. Then I have to mess with different size SAE sockets... no thanks!

These are MUCH nicer than I expected in person. Just received mine a couple days ago. Definitely a nice upgrade.

The factory battery bracket did a poor job of holding my battery so much so that last time I took the truck off road the battery came loose and was almost sitting in the fan/belts and I only noticed because the bracket touched one of the posts and arced off it. This new one has little adjusters on the underside of it so you can clamp it to the battery. Very nice! And I shouldn’t have anymore issues with it.
