Oh really? Maybe I'll split up the order then. Thanks for the heads up.
Now the only question is bronze or black? Hmm...

So where’s the best price for bronze? I was just looking for these recently, then thought they got discontinued, and then gave up seeing the used prices… like the set I linked in my previous post lol! For that money I would have just bought trail ready true beadlocks

I'm very curious to see what the paint colors are for these. I know that they're supposed to be the same as the originals, but if production has been moved to a different location / factory, I have to believe the shades won't be a perfect match.

If you're looking for spares, I'd be tempted to buy in pairs rather than singles just so you can put two on a side of the truck. Hopefully this drives down the price of used sets so I can pick up a few more spares. I've got a handful of spare pieces, but could use a full wheel or three. I'd be happen even with a set that has say two that need new rings, but a guy can dream, right?

I feel like I need 2-3 spares. So I can safely navigate the Home Depot parking lot. Though, with the lift, I better get a pro eagle too.

I'm more worried about a doofus at a tire shop mangling something on me, or drilling a pothole wrong and cracking it. I have the randomest chip on one of my wheels which is bizarre since I never let anyone touch those wheels but me.

Then again, I also did this to a TRD Beadlock, so...

I'm buying 5 of whatever wheels I can make up my mind on, so color matching old sets is irrelevant. I'm leaning towards the grey versions of these, but the elusive answer of whether or not center caps are included is holding me back.

I have to believe the center cap comment in the eBay ad is a typo. There reason I say this is that the center cap links to the Trail / Pro wheel center cap. I have a feeling when they built their eBay ad they simply copied and pasted. If the part number was correct for a TRD Beadlock, then I'd be more worried. But YMMV.

Are these only in 16in? No specs listed on the website and would like to do a 17in if possible

Yeah I had contacted them a few weeks ago for a quote. But now I'm torn since these are OEM

Whatever you caught there would have done the same damage if not more to any other wheel.

    Care for some speculation?
    https://offerup.co/8MorEl5DCvb

These appear to be the new wheels, not the older ones.
    • Country of manufacture is USA rather than UK
    • Boxes and barrel stickers look different
    • Stampings on the back of the face may also be different? Been a while since I've looked at mine.
    • Boxes say flat black but these look like the grey ones
    • Some of the pics makes the grey look different from my grey ones. Maybe it's the pics? Maybe they are actually black but the pics make 'em look grey?
    • They're shown/sold without caps. So did they not come with caps? Or did the person just keep those?

What are you talking about. A quality forged wheel clearly could have survived this.

    I'm still grumpy.

Those are definitely black. They were an almost satin black and could look faded black in some angles. Lemme dig up a photo of my black ones NIB.

    IMG_0372.jpg

They're reflecting a greyish sky in the ad photos.

I am curious if in the same way it took the "new" beadlocks a while to come out after discontinuing the previous ones, the "new" centercaps are coming out eventually too....

Check out the Toyota Description! "TACO ALLOY"

The backside of these faces are a different casting/mold than the FJ versions. The FJ show the three different colours; Graphite, Black, Bronze in the metal. These Tacos wheels do not.

Well that's interesting, I had no idea what a stop sale was and had to look it up. According to google a stop sale is... "Stop-sale order means a notice in which a manufacturer prohibits a franchisee from leasing or selling at wholesale or retail a used vehicle in the franchisee's inventory because of a federal recall for a safety defect or a failure to comply with a federal safety standard or a federal emissions standard."

The definition says that it applies to a vehicle but I guess also makes sense in the context of parts.
Does that mean that the old manufacturer was unable to meet safety or QC standards? Interesting.
