@JdMeF9SiR2 thanks for giving us a detailed history and present update on your wicked awesome wheels!

The TRD Beadlock hardware also includes nylon washers against the bolt head and the aluminum rock ring.
Don't blame the hardware for user error. Especially with cheap low-end soft tools, any hardware is going to be damaged and the tool cams out; I see it all the time in my line of work. We need to dress our Allen and Torx tool faces more than we think, it's just like a knife blade.
Torx is designed not to cam out as easily as Allen head hardware. The torque is 75"/lbs for the ring bolts with washers.

Do Toyota OEM caps fit these wheels? It has been mentioned before most of your replicas don't which is why I never ordered a set of the last 3 I wanted to get. :(

I don’t even want to think about the condition my hardware is in. I had it done at a Toyota dealer as I bought the wheels during a buy 3 get 1 tire sale, so hopefully I don’t need to take them apart.

It’s swapping tires that concerns me. Do most people pull the rings to swap the tires?

Brand new? Price? Genuinely curious although I probably won't buy them as they're included. It's amazing how fast the grey sells out on fleabay. :burp:

I use two tires shops and both do not remove the rings when removing or installing tires.

I do. I'm terrified of tire shops other than R Compound in Whittier CA but they don't do truck tires :( My goal is always to make the tire tech's job as easy as possible and limit the chances they'll do anything dumb. I normally don't even bring in the wheels on the car and instead remove the wheels and drive them to the tire shop. Not gonna risk them snapping a lug stud or scratching my wheels when installing them on the car. Unfortunatley, with these truck tires I don't have another vehicle large enough to haul 5 wheels and either 5 or 10 tires.

I believe the old style of faux beadlocks were made by BBS out of England for Toyota. I think I read that BBS is no more, which is probably why Toyota stopped selling them, correct me if I’m wrong, I remember reading this a while back. The removable rings are great, I had my rings powder coated black and they got beat to shit, however my actual wheel is spotless. In my opinion the ring is a definite deal breaker if I were to buy them again. I was one of the lucky ones where I didn’t have any wheel shaking or corrosion due to debris in between the ring and wheel.
There is a company called refined cycle I believe that make an aftermarket ring that comes in four pieces,

I used to have these wheels on my FJ for 8 years no issues, only reason I changed was due to going with the marlin crawler rclt hd long travel kit and needing 17 size wheels, I ended up going with Hutchinson rock monster beadlocks

BBS is still alive and making rims, mostly in Japan since 2012. They made rims in Germany and France, though never in the UK.

The Tundra and Sequoia Pro have an option of BBS forged black alloys.

The T4R and Tundra Rock Warrior 17" wheels were made by BBS.

There was a 1st generation Tundra BBS RW wheel option as well.

I’m a huge BBS fanboy and want the Rock Warriors just out of principle. They’d brand match my C5. :D

I'm not 100% sure if I understand your post.

    I was referring to these.

    As seen on BrandonL's truck.

    Thanks for asking!

We halted production for 2021 due to logistical issues, and the wheels were put back into production this year. We should have the wheels back up on the website in a few weeks once we finish fulfilling our backorders, but please call us at (951)735-1100 or email us at FNWheels@gmail.com if you'd like more information (or if you'd like to order a set).

More than likely yes, but if you can provide me with drawings / dimensions of specific big brake kits I can tell you with certainty. We design all of our wheels for maximum brake clearance.

Thank you too! Good information - I did forget to mention that the OEM wheels came with nylon washers.

You're correct about installer error too, which is why we try to make our wheels as fool-proof as possible (no disrespect intended to anyone). If the installer lost a nylon washer, over tightened the screws, cross threaded the screws, etc. it could definitely cause a problem down the road with the OE design with removable rings. Again, my comments aren't intended to say that the OEM design is bad, but rather to explain why we make our wheels the way that we do.

OEM Toyota caps do fit our wheels : part # PTR18-35092. Toyota discontinued this cap. I would imagine that a new, replacement cap will be forthcoming for the "new" 16" Toyota simulated beadlock wheels, in which case that cap should fit our wheels if the dimensions are the same.

We don't make replicas of any other Toyota wheels, and even this wheel we don't consider to be a replica since it is a 17" version that is similar to a wheel Toyota only makes in a 16". I think you might be thinking of another company that makes replicas.

We do make a very popular wheel called the FX Pro which is similar to a Toyota design (but with better load rating, weight, and specs), but that wheel was intentionally designed to accept a flat cap that is also interchangeable with Toyota cap PN: PTR18-35092.

The 16" OEM TRD beadlock style wheels were originally made by Rimstock (aka Team Dynamics) in England. That factory ceased production couple of years ago, which is why the OEM TRD wheels were originally discontinued. They may or may not be producing wheels again now, but it doesn't appear that they are making OEM Toyota wheels anymore. BBS (a different manufacturer) is still in business, but they've gone through bankruptcy a few times.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/michae...-wheels-files-for-bankruptcy/?sh=6129e63c3949

The Tundra Rock Warrior wheels were actually made in Taiwan (often mislabeled as being made in USA, but that's only because they were assembled in USA). The Rock Warrior wheels were really nice wheels too, but they've also been discontinued by Toyota.

    Thanks for the info!

That is the same what I dug up a while back. The new version, TACO ALLOY, is USA made with a new numbers on the inside of the spokes. Gone are the three sets of OEM parts numbers for the three colours on the back side of the spokes.

The online rumors of the RW wheels being made by BBS was through Tundra and 4R forums. First I have heard they were made in Taiwan and nothing wrong with that at all.

Ahhh yes apologies, it was another company. I went back and double checked lol.

At one point when I was looking for wheels. Replicas/Similar/Toyota Style it was hard to keep up lol. Got confused on which folk made their rims that could fit the OEM caps on their replicas/similar style to toyota design. :p Appreciate the info. Im glad these/yours come in a 17” option.
