I cleaned my filter today and was trying to spray the TRD oil filter on and it only comes out in a stream and I can't spray it evenly. Do you think it is ok to use any kind of filter oil. I have this other filter oil that I use for my JWT pop charger thats on my other car will this be ok?

jim wolf! sheesh. old school nissan.

    yes, you will be fine.

before you do that though, why not try to switch the cap from the old can to the streaming can? i'm guessing they are both male "caps" (nozzles). either way you'll be fine though.

    Ok Thanks
I have the TRD cleaning kit with the two spray bottles and I tried switching the nozzle and it still comes out in a stream. Not sure why but I'll just use the other oil and I will be ordering an AFE Dry the oiling is a pain.
    Thanks

    oh....i see what you mean.

hmm, so spinning the nozzle does nothing on either, huh? are they marked "spray" and "stream"? i'm just curious because i've not seen one.

how often are you re-oiling, on average (time span)

The Afe kit is also a "stream". Just lightly go back and forth, let it soak, then apply a little more. Takes some time but is worth it in my opinion. The oil is supposed to help catch fine particles of dirt and crap from getting in.

aside from the pain of oiling a afe dry intake wont make any performance difference than the trd does

2 sides say ON and 2 sides say OFF. I tried both ON sides still stream its like the oil is to thick or something. The guy at Toyota said it was new packaging.

I'll just use the JWT oil I have it comes out in a nice even mist plus its blue.
    Thanks

Are you saying that the TRD filter has better performance than the AFE dry?
