TRD cold air intake?

I was thinking about purchasing this....
Anyone have it or have any input on it?
Does this effect the fuel mileage,,,good or bad?
Worth the money??

I did it- no performance increase. I like more noise, red stuff, and flux capacitors.

 

I told my wife it will get better gas milage and I needed it...so she let me buy one.

$400...... for a new intake tube with a red piece in the middle and
a new lid??? It looks no different from stock, what's the catch?

UN-like.... I have one... LOVE it specially with my Magnaflow exhaust.

 

Cold Air Intakes work great - as long as you also add a high-flow exhaust, supercharger, bigger injectors, and an EFI flash.

 

I got a Spectre cold air intake a while back as a gift, so I kept it, installed it, eventually added a K&N filter and clean it with the K&N cleaner kit about twice a year. I think it was like $100 honestly. I like it and I think it sounds great with a MagnaFlow muffler especially when you step on it. At one point I got tired of it and put the factory airbox back on with a new filter and immediately noticed a power decrease, so that didn't last too long. The cold air intake was back on a few weeks later. That TRD filter system looks awesome, which is why it's double the cost of others.

Not gonna lie ... I got a Bro air intake! Bro, just sayin.

 

I put it on. Its fine and adds a growl when you press the gas. But as far as litres per 100km? No clue as I put the KO2s with E rated tires on at
the same time. It does add a bit of bling to the boring under the hood design.
In addition it is OEM, so it will have no impact on the warranty.

 

I added it and can hear it breathe better when winding it up. Next will be the TRD catback. It also does look neat under the hood as a Toyota OEM part.
