I know there are lots of info on lifts for the 3G but I wanted to make this tread specific to This model of truck because of all the different suspensions so I can decide from your input as to which lift to get. Looking for max lift of only 2". I like the stock ride as it is but will not be able to fit my wheels I have so keeping the stock ride as close as possible is what I'm looking for. The choices I'm interested in are the OME, Toytec 2.0 or Billsteins 3gen 5100. I will probably run blocks in the rear to keep things close. This is my DD so I don't need an Off Road setup. I got the 4x4 because of the 6MT. I would appreciate your comments on what you installed and the ride you have now, compared to stock, also what tires you have on. Tks

Why did you want to make a thread for this specific drivetrain? Suspension components are not different between MT and AT.

From what you listed I'd go Toytec though

Every single 3rd gen tacoma has the same suspension from the factory. Only difference is shocks.

I don't know the weight differences between the two I just listed it to be more specific to what I have but I will gladly take info from At owners as well because it might not matter as you mentioned. Tks

Looking at some parts catalogs for the 3gen there are a whole lot of different part # for springs alone. The sport and off road sway bars are supposed to be different as well. Even if you are correct in it all having the same suspensions 4wd and 2wd weigh differently and it should make the ride different. $.02 Tks

I get all of that but my question is just on ride characteristics as compared to stock, that's it. I put my specific truck so I could hear from those who had the same. I could read for days on all the lifts but I want to hear from those with my type of truck, that's it. Tks

Fair enough. Deleted my long winded post so as to unclutter your thread.
