FWIW, I never even thought to look anywhere else. He had a design I liked and wasn't concerned to pay a little more for a quality product while supporting a fellow TW member.

I am not going to buy a cheap locker, or cheap lt, or a cheap anything for my truck, by cheap I mean quality. I do my best to support the local guy.

Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

    Just starting...
If you research the 3M vinyl adhesives, I think you'll find that $55 is a fair price, particularly for unique designs. You're paying for the creative work too, which is worth more than $20 by itself. There's lots of adhesive plastic that will not survive repeated runs through a car wash for years and years. I've had some of the clear high-end 3M vinyl on a car for almost five years. It's held up fantastically and protects the paint beautifully.

High end 3M graphics vinyl may be 2-3x as thick as cheaper materials, and just the fact that it's 3m means that the raw material cost may be double.

Add to that, the blades on the plotter don't last as long.....

Quality graphics can easily cost the maker double or triple in materials and equipment.

Socks are double the price, and the eBay sellers just might be making 2-3x the profit.

I agree. I will be getting mine from Sockmonkey once I get the designs set out and what I want. I look at it as "buying American". I will pay more for something made in the USA to support our country. Why wouldn't I do the same on the forum I am proud to be a member of?
There are several members here that drive 60 miles or more to come to my shop to support me and get quality work that they won't get elsewhere. So I can appreciate Socks position.

If I was a jack of any trade, I would want the group I belong to (TW) to support me.
I believe a great benefit of TW vendors are, they are like us. They want something in the highest of quality for the best buck, and they wouldn't sell it if they wouldn't put it on their truck. Ebay and shi don't care about any of that, just the $.

I have a design I'd like to have made but I read on his FAQ that sockmonkey stopped doing custom designs. If I'm not mistaken about that does anyone have recommendations for another vendor?
