I'm not sure man but I'm absolutely taking it off. To put it on all you would have to do is bring it to a dealership and they could do it. I have to buy a new fender and have it painted once that's done if your intrested I'd be happy to sell it and ship it. If I can I'd send the fender as well!

You can't get a red TRD Pro this year... Black, White or Blue.

Also copy past my post from the other thread:

After one month with the truck I have two things to say about the DAI.

1: Cold and plastic don't go well together, the plastic weld were the screw is snapped a few days after I turned the head around for the snow. It most likely was because I tightened to screw a little bit too much combined with cold and vibration. But then again, it's a Desert Air Intake, not a Winter Air Intake, I have no idea what Toyota of Canada was thinking when they obliged it on every TRD Pro.

2: I'm pretty confident the reason the snorkel sits that high is because of wind noise. I don't know about the ARB safari, but the DAI produce absolutely no wind noise whatsoever.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I have a ARB, and I cant hear the wind noise over the sound of my stereo or mud tires. So it doesn't exist

Nothing wrong with the DAI, unless you don't like it. I find it funny that a vehicle which was engineered for saftety(TSS) and fuel efficiency(Atkinson cycle, and that auto trans) now can be had with a factory snorkel.

Because they know that most people that want one (especially on a brand new $40k+ truck) only want it for the looks.

I have nothing against snorkels/DAI's but the 3rd gen one looks awful IMO - too curvy and too high up over the roof line. Looks like a leech attached to the side of the truck, but that's just one man's opinion.

There are a couple options out there other than the TRD version that look much better on the 3rd gen...ARB/Safari, Dobinson's to name a couple

Here is the before and after. Hate if you want to but Toyota wasnt thinking about the overland/offroad community at all when they designed the DAI and illl go even further and say they wernt thinking when they designed the 2019 models... have you see the fj rack on the 19' 4Runner???

Yeah but not much i had to drill the new holes none of which over lapped, and since the safari sits a bit more forward i had to cut the hole just a slight bit

Hey OP. Nice truck . I've got an armor front bumper and trimmed fender liners so as you can imagine I have a opening in the shielding that allows dirty wheelhouse air into my air box. I frequently drive dirt roads/sand /wheel and forge watercrossings . I dont really care for snorkels but am going to buy one to be safe (water) . I can seal up anything and am not worried about the non water rated trd snorkle . I do have to ask though since your one of the few to know for sure . Which one is made of thicker plastic ? I dont like the look of either but am looking for durability.
