i bought mine when TRD had the anniversary sale going on, even then for hundreds of dollars cheaper it was "meh", it doesn't drone which is good, but the sound increase is barely there, it does look way better than the stock exhaust though

It took me about 40 minutes doing it by myself without a lift. Would be quite a bit quicker with a helper as it's a LOT heavier than the std OEM exhaust.
Also, tape padding around the tip to keep from scaring it up during installation.

If looking for a loud exhaust best to go with another brand. The TRD Cat-Back is more about about a deep-throaty high-performance sound which it provides.

If doing this in the driveway. Also helps to lower or remove the spare.

Agreed though, super easy install. 3 or 4 hangers and 2 bolts. Should take 30 - 1 hour if you're doing it by yourself, and that's taking your time.

I really wasn't going for loud, the engine doesn't sound good period. I have an 2016 Shelby GT350 that sounds amazing and will wake the dead, i just wanted something more aggressive than stock, if it was just a tad bit louder i think it would be perfect.

I considered removing/lowering the spare, however with the time it would take and weight of the spare, figured it would be about the same as carefully wrapping the pipe around the axle.
The trick is to wrap the pipe around the axle angling it from the driver's side of the truck as opposed to straight back.

Mine came with the truck, low drone sound, a bit throaty and I'm guessing 0.1% gain in HP and torque:fingerscrossed:. Actual performance numbers not published by Toyota but there was a thread about an independent dyno test.

@Norsk I am thinking, wouldn't be more polite to just say "We really don't want to do it" than insult your intelligence !
