Are u talking about the exhaust tips? IF so...u can get them on Amazon or Ebay for less than the dealership...They don't have a TRD logo but they do have a Toyota logo...I paid $55 for mine

No Im looking for the TRD Exhaust not just the tip. I want the performance boost without all the noise of the magnaflow. My 2006 Tacoma had the TRD Exhaust. That paired with a K&N Air Intake really made a difference and added some power.

I did contact TRD and the rep I talked with was clueless. Since the TRD Pro is coming out this fall I expect the TRD catback to be released around the same time. I still have not taken delivery and have been told it will be another month which will make 3 months since I gave my deposit. I could have ordered a new BMW made in Germany and have it slowboated across the Atlantic Ocean and it would have gotten here quicker than this truck.

Magnaflow is loud? it's an upgrade from 2.5" to 3" pipe all the way back from the cat so it will be a different sound due to the change of pipe diameter. Less restriction/back pressure is the goal.

How would you get better flow without a change in exhaust tone? Stick with a 2.5" pipe?

I think better performance is going to be gained buy going to a larger diameter pipe don't you?

Group by discount 15% and free ship - FTW.

I'm guessing you are running a 3" pipe then, eh??

The way to tell would be to do dyno runs before and after AND get some software mods for a/f ratios to take advantage better air flow (assuming there is any). Wheel horsepower probably not much difference at the end of the day maybe a tad up top with little/no torque improvement.

The TRD Exhaust sounds totally normal, almost exactly like a normal exhaust when you are driving normal. If you gun it you get a throatier sound and a performance boost. Every magnaflow Ive heard sounded louder than normal when idling.

My truck went faster. What an a-hole remark. If you dont want the TRD exhaust dont get one.

These threads always end the same.

3" is unnecessary on these trucks. If you like magnaflow, cool, buy it and enjoy it. TRD for what it is, is overpriced. OP, if you absolutely have to purchase TRD, keep emailing and bugging them. I'd simply swap the muffler if it were me. The longer the case length, the quieter it will be. I'd start with something around 22", 18" max. I think anything smaller and you'll be disappointed.

There are plenty of quality muffler options. Case length is key. Dynomax V/T comes to mind.

image.jpg I'm very satisfied with Gibson. Sounds great, not loud at all. No drone.
