Anyone think the Manual trucks are little louder and sound a little different from the Automatic trucks? I think you get more engine fan noise and the engine has more burble to it?

I don't think you get more noise between the auto and manual truck it is just the Manual guy's listen to it more and have more control over when to shift so they kinda wait to shift when it reaches a higher decibel than the auto will let you.

oh your not going to see or even feel any power gain that makes it worth the bucks however mine is all Stainless Steel and in location where you have ice melt on the roads the system will outlast a plain steel one like by forever.

You guys should really check out dirty deeds exhaust. I posted a clip earlier. His systems are significantly better than pretty much any bolt on or the OEM TRD. Price is right too. You won't be disappointed

Is there a difference between the TRD exhaust and the TRD Pro exhaust outside of the round vs oval tips?

Also, there have been posts in this thread saying they want the Flowmaster instead of the TRD, but my truck came with the TRD and when I crawled under it the muffler has a big flowmaster stamp embossed in it.

    Yeah.
Even if he bought it new, the dealer could have done a Flowmaster with a TRD tip and called it a TRD exhaust. AFAIK, there is only one TRD exhaust, no separate "Pro" exhaust, but only the Pros come from the factory with a TRD exhaust installed unless maybe custom ordered.

I suppose this is probably the case. I’ve always just assumed that because it has the chrome tip with a Toyota emblem etched in it that it was the TRD exhaust, but I guess the previous owner must have put on the flowmaster and added the Toyota tip

Just comparing what did everyone pay for their TRD Exhaust, I see online the part is roughly $700/$800 on toyotas site. What did yall pay and did you get it from the dealership?

My local dealer in Gulfport, MS quoted me $695.00 with free shipping but shipped to the dealer and I pick it up.

    Yeah.
TRDParts4U (Toyota of Dallas) lists it for $654.35, not sure what shipping would be. You could likely get your local dealer to match that, or at least come close to avoid shipping costs. Many dealers also list stuff on eBay -- I get OEM filters that way, you just have to make sure the price is reasonable (some dealers list them pretty high). Mine came on the truck.

So, new to Tacomas and their interchangeabilities. Does an exhaust that works for a 2018 also work for a 2019?

    Yeah.
They usually do throughout a generation, and some things between 2nd and 3rd gen are even interchangeable (OEM roof rack is an example). I would think the '18 version would work fine with no modification on a '19, but might want to verify with a dealer.

Regardless of who put it on, or if he bought it new, It is not factory, and by slapping a chrome tip on and flowmaster and passing it off as a pro TRD exhaust I would think is highly unlikely. Also you cannot buy the TRD oval tip like you can the round Toyota tip.
