Is the TRD filter worth special ordering from Toyota since they didn't have them in stock.

The other options I was thinking on an oversized filter was the Purolator PL20195 or the PL 24457. Which of these would be the appropriate filter to use in the TRD filters place?

    Thanks

From what research has been done it's probably best to stay with the stock Tacoma filter and use that extra dough on some synthetic oil from any major brand.

That being said I run Bosch in the oversized filter size because I like the extra bit of oil capacity.

BTW you are going to get about a billion different opinions on this. Some of them will be heated for some odd reason.

I run those TRD oil filters, they do look like rebadged k&n filters although the TRD seems a little taller. I mainly use the TRD because I like the nut on the top, makes removal a breeze.
