Hey, I have been trying to remove clips on my SR5 grill, so that I can carry over the frame to new TRD grill from Toyota Lifestyle.
It's 12:30am and I'm wondering how many pairs of hands do I need? lol
Each clip I unclip decides to clip itself back as soon as I move onto another one.
About to give up and just install stock grill back on the truck.

Every video on YouTube mysteriously doesn't go into details to explain removal of clips. I wonder why.
Just broke one btw, that's one less to go :anonymous:

Wedge a towel in there under the one you unclipped, and move on to the next one. Might take a few towels or t shirts to get all the way around.

A little confused which clips I should be removing. One video claims just 5 clips, another one says all clips around.

Sucks when they skip the most difficult steps, lol.

I’m curious myself, in case I go this route.

    Subbed!

^^This. Also, take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5efI9EDmG3c I realize it's a Taco Vinyl grille but he does show the process of unfastening the clips. I installed this grille following the video and it was straight forward. All but one of the clips came off by hand, and with the towel method it kept them from clicking back in place as I went around.

Don’t you have to remove the screws? I swapped mine last month and don’t remember lol.
Once you get one started to come out you have to keep pressure on it so it doesn’t pop back in , once you get a few loose they will all pop out fairly easy. It seems like my entire Mustang is clipped together so I got pretty good at it after awhile

I removed screws as well and broke second clip. At this point I put it all back together the way it was and going to make another attempt tomorrow.
    Thanks for the tips.
