I had to make a custom bracket because the emblem itself was just an emblem with 3m tape. Where I wanted to mount it, all there was was a horizontal plastic grille frame. So we went to lowes picked up a little sheet metal, cut it to the shape of the emblem, and some L shaped brackets to support it to the flat portion of the grille welded it up all by eye lol, painted it and were done. And @baja820 the reasoning behind the trd logos on a nontrd truck is simple. My truck is more capable then a stock trd, they make numerous trd parts for my truck some That I already have ie. Rims, air filter, oil filter, with many more still to follow ie. Muffler, shortthrow, skid plates ect. It is the same concept as frpp and mustangs. A mustang may not be a ford racing "edition" but if it has the parts what's wrong with reping the name? You may not see the point in it but hopefully you can appreciate vehicles without having to justify it with some kind of logic. The world of vehicle aftermarket modifications is meant to be creative and appreciate other peoples ideas. Thank you for your opinion though, Ill be sure to take it into consideration.

He has TRD parts and wants to represent? My truck is not TRD in that it didn't come from the factory that way but it has most of the parts a TRD would come with short of the stickers & LSD so I would run widdit...just as soon as he mails it to me to try it out on a 2011 grill. Oh fuck, a 2011 grill on a 2008, is that bad too? If I put enough parts on it I'm gonna call it a TRD SR5 Offroad Prerunner :D or would that be Sport with just the rear locker?
