Can someone tell me if a TRD header is available for the 2.7L 4 cylinder engine? I have a 98 Tacoma and just got a new muffler put on. When the guy at the shop was welding every thing up he noticed that i have a cracked manifold. so I'm in the market for a replacement. from what i've read the TRD headers are the best but i haven't found anything for the 2.7L. If the TRDs aren't available could you all suggest anything else that gives good gains?

No TRD header, but there is a North West Off Road header, and LCE makes one too....

I have tried the NWOR header, and I LOVED it. Very respectable gains in the low to midrange, and a decent gain on the top end. I have NOT tried the LCE header, but have heard its more for top end, with a little loss on the bottom, and picking up near the mid range. The NWOR is a VERY quality header, and there were a few times when I would accelerate in 5th gear, only to think I was in 4th, due to the acceleration being that much improved. It IS a pricey header, and Im not sure if it is worth what they are asking ( I belive around $500.00, I got mine from them for about $380.00), but you may be able to talk them down. I have also heard they are not going to make them any more.
