So, I'm in a pickle... I absolutely love the TRD LED trim on the headlights.. and I only have the SR5 stock lights.. I've been looking into buying the entire TRD headlights, but the cheapest I could find is $750 EACH!!!
    Any ideas?

I'm looking for a certain part that unfortunately I can't buy separately. Cruising through ebay I've seen a few really low priced headlights. If you are just wanting to add the DRL leds, talk to @mesojdm he knows everything haha. As for the BHLM he mentioned, that would greatly improve the looks. I did mine and love the look!

Driving around Southern California, I've noticed that maybe half the TRD Sports/Off-Roads I've driven past by even use their LED DRLs while driving.. Anyone else notice this?

I have seen that a few times lately. There is a red off road I see often and they never have their drls on. :der:

You're not going to find a great deal on this unless you find a wrecked truck but it may have broken tabs. I had to replace one on my TRDOR already due to an item hitting my truck on the highway (package flew out of a stake bed truck). The headlight took most the impact and it broke every tab on the assembly. I ordered a new one with toyota employee pricing and its cost me $665 for one side.$1300 - $1500 just for DRL"S? I could get a lift for that much installed!

Typically, most headlights that are projectors and have LED are fairly expensive. some cars even have the headlights that turn left/ right with the steering wheel........easy $1000+ for those headlight assembly (each)

Spend the money!! Buy them from the dealer, and have them do the install. We don't need another " . . . I wired up some shit and now my truck blew up" threads.

I've found it's most always cheaper to do things right regardless of the cost.

You go ahead and do that.
In the meantime, I'll do my own parts sourcing and install. While you are emptying your wallet at the Toyota service counter, I'll be buying more parts with the money I saved:thumbsup:

It seems a large number of people on this site are really not cut out for working on trucks.

Partially agree with this.......if you have experience or spare parts to test the work on then go for it! If you do not know the difference between a black and red wire, or do not know what a 10mm socket is then I strongly advise giving your money to someone with experience. Or find a guy like @mesojdm that loves to do this stuff for us! I bet he could get you LED's in your headlight cheaper than $1500 (i'll take commission for brokering this deal lol)

OP - Actually when you think about it, it's actually a lot more than $1500 because that's just for the headlights. Doesn't include time/cost to run the wired/connectors and you don't have a DRL setting on the headlight switch like the TRD's do. Unless you run it to an aftermarket switch its likely not a cheap part either.

Isn't there an extra connector for the TRD trim level HL's for the LED DRL strip? Only Mesojdm knows for sure.

Exactly correct!!!! Which is why most should spend the money to have it done correctly in the first place. If you have the knowledge, tools, and resources good for you. Today's vehicles are not "57 Chevys" to be jacked up in the back yard.
