Just curious, because if it is new, I would rather have a new one than a used for $30 less. I think you made the right move. Did you pick it up on ebay? I am lightly looking myself and think I saw a guy selling for that price. Either way, good luck with it!

^^ Yeah i picked it up on ebay, matter or fact I'm trying to talk to the guy to see if he has anymore so maybe we could do a group buy for it, it might be cheaper too. No promises yet though. As to the used one I wouldn't mind saving 30 bucks as long as the filter was well taken care of. The assembly it self looks to be in good condition, and they guy seems to have good rep too.

I agree, either option is a good deal. Let me know how you make out when you get it. Curious if you are happy with it. I am back and forth on whether to do a drop in filter, or a cai. Good luck BigLuke!

I got a drop in about a year ago and see no difference either. After looking at the performance graph that K&N puts out for proof of their claims I realized that the only time you might actually see a difference is in high rpm's (above the 3500 range). Quite frankly I don't really drive a vehicle with a high center of gravity that hard and certainly not that often.
So in breif, unless you are constantly gunning it, just stay with the stock and save your money for something with a better return such as a better sound system or ......

    just my 2 cents folks

Well when I put in the AEM kit I noticed a difference with the very next tank.
