Of course they "can't get them to work". It's a liability issue! They reinstalled them back for aesthetics but they will never turn them on, no matter how many waivers you will sign. Service director will never let this happed.

1- They didn't plug them in
    2- They removed a fuse
    3- They programmed them out

LOL: The service manager gave the idea that maybe the car's computer is registering the lift and cancelling the fog lights. They must think you're an idiot. I would not waste my time at that dealership again. Find another dealer and tell them that something is wrong with your foglights. Let them fix it under warranty.

Check out pgs. 26-27 of the install instructions. Steps 37(c) and 37(h). The ONLY thing the tech should have done is to unplug the lights, remove the fuse (I'd triple check that to be sure the fuse is in and not a dummy or something to that effect) and add dielectric grease to the plugs. Retrace those steps man. If the idiot light on the dash is coming on, there's something else going on.

Off topic but is there a shared drive of all the factory installed options instructions by chance? Didn't find anything in the sticky's (sure wish we had more sticky's on here!)

Would anyone know how high the fog lights sit after the lift kit? I live in PA and am trying to decide if I should get the lift kit installed or not. The state of PA has a regulation where the fog lights can not exceed 42 inches above the surface of the road.

Not the OP, but I’ve got the 2G TRD Pro lift on my truck (~2 inches). 42 inches is above the bottom of the DRL on my headlamp, likely 1/3 the way up the headlamp itself. I’d need a 6” drop bracket lift to even get close to 42”.

Two things that jump out at me, #1 is that CA (where the OP lives) isn’t on the fog delete list and #2 is that they expect Toyota to discard the old parts, including the fog lamps it seems. My inner Karen (is it Kyle for dudes?) says that if they’re not returning the old parts to you they should compensate you for it.

Sounds good, thank you for the info! From what your saying it seems like I shouldn’t have any issues in the state of PA. Unless the Toyota dealership tries to pull a fast one on me haha

Start backwards, make sure the bulb is there.
Make sure each one is plugged in properly. Unplug them a replug. Follow the electrical wiring on each to make sure they did not cut any wiring. Check the fuse. Remove the fuse and swap it with another fuse in the fusebox.

Any update on if you were able to get the fog lights functional? I just ordered a 2022 TRD OR with lift kit but now I’m reluctant to go with this option if it means losing the fog lights. I like the idea of the custom grill and upgraded shocks but not at the expense of losing the fog lights. I believe the premium pkg I ordered includes LED fog lights on top of it.

I took out and put back all relevant fuses and inspected all wiring and unplugged everything I can think of and it all came back on. My hunch is fuses but it works now! Just ask for them to leave the fogs in if they can otherwise just install them yourself. Something odd must have happened with mine and the dealer was too lazy to go through and make sure it was back up and running. or they just didnt care cuz they werent supposed to hook it up anyways.

Hey, I'm really close to you, in Benicia. I've got a pretty good amount of experience with automotive lighting. If you'd like you could come over Wed or Thurs and we can take a look at if you can't figure it out.

Check the fuse, bulbs and relay, as others have said. Also, there are two fuses if I recall correctly. One in the engine bay main block and one under the dash. One is for the switch to relay the other is the power for the light.

If you can't figure it out, I'll be happy to help if you'd like. PM me if so.

    Cheers and good luck.

Normal. I bought the trick off the lot and had the kit installed at like 500 miles at a different dealer. labor was like $1500 cheaper in walnut creek compared to Marin.

Oh. Ok. I ask because I have the rigid pro lights (on my pro, duh) and I’ll be swapping them for some diode dynamics. Wondering if you’d be interested in them? Lights and bezels.
