My goodness, I’m glad I’m knowledgeable about suspension and wheel offset. This thread is full of bad information. When your suspension is bottomed out, that’s where you test you tire clearance, not sitting perfect in your driveway.

You have a good offroad shop in your area? a CMC is around an hour, let those guys check your tire clearance and trim what’s needed, you can take off your mud flaps if you have them. 285s aren’t big tires, 2 or 3 hours of shop time and a wheel alignment and your good to go.

It just feels so lazy. I knew my first tire size before I even made an account. At least try to do some leg work.

As for aggressive tires, you can run Boggers if you want, tires come in all kinds of sizes , to fit nearly anything.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
I did the Bilstein lift which we all know is the same except the warranty is better on the 5100s and a few more settings. I'm on the top setting and measured out a little more than 2 inches and a one inch rear block and I can say yes this set up works. I too went 285/70/17 on 4Runner SEMA wheels and I can also say no rub anywhere and not even on the mud guards. The shop did the lift 4 years ago and I went with 265s then but wanted to go bigger and only 20 miles on my truck in four years I decided to run 285s. Best decicision I ever made, looks tuffer, rides better and no loss of gae mileage and keeping a light SL rated tire, and upgraded to the new KDMAX Pro 9 tune with ainline calibrator to fix the speedometer and the computer for my gas mileage readings.

Find a tire with an AK or machette painted on the side...that would look aggressive...BRO.

Huh, coulda fooled me. I fit 33s on my stock suspension with no problems and off-roaded it plenty. The lift doesn’t make the tires fit.

Just be careful if you choose a CMC. Here in VA some picky inspection stations are throwing flags and calling it a frame modification, therefore you get a rejection sticker.

So what you’re saying is you don’t understand how the front factory geometry works on an IFS truck.

?????? Where in my post does it say it’s required? I simply said that it can help. That is literally all I was suggesting; that suspension lifts HAVE THE ABILITY TO ASSIST IN HELPING TO FIT BIGGER TIRES.

All of these mediatory words imply that it is only an assist. It’s obviously not the full solution.
