I only know of one person with a TRD blower and all the goodies who hit over 400 rwhp and he sprayed nitrous.

Maybe with a very aggressive e85 tune and the 2.55 and all the supporting mods you could get around 385rwhp

Hang on, let me rephrase. The redline on these when running higher boost without blowing your engine should stay at 5500 RPM. Otherwise you risk launching a piston out of your block, connecting rod failure, wrist pin failure etc. Etc.

I do too, hence the vision for it.

That's fine. Like I said, I am to get as close as possible within my priorities and limitations.

WTF.......that looks like fun. What would a LS swap run? I know the sky’s the limit. I’m talking like a base before mods?

The few LS Taco swaps I've seen over the years are all done by guys who own the truck and have mad, mad skills and passion. I don't see a shop charging any less than 10k, probably closer to 20 once everything's done.

Wow. That’s cool tho. Those skills are way over my head. If I could get it done for a reasonable price....I’d entertain it

    Amen to that.

I'm willing to sell an organ or two and my first born.

Live only once. Might as well make the most of it.

I think its one of those (if you have to ask you cant afford it) type of deals! I would be asking myself, so obviously I cant afford it!

Yeah I get it....I’ve seen guys thrown the idea around here and there, LS this and LS that....I’ve never paid much attention or ever looked into what a motor costs. That’s not even counting everything else that would have to be changed

See, I hate that argument. John D. Rockerfeller, the richest man in history, was notoriously frugal. His children had to account for every penny they had and spent. You think he didn't ask how much things were before purchasing? Lol

You gotta start off somewhere. Whatever figure you come up with, whatever budget you set for yourself, be at peace with the knowledge that you'll exceed it by up to an order of magnitude by the time every thing is said and done. Start buying, start saving, start learning, and have the patience of Job.

    But most importantly, have fun.

Absolutely, I too would LOVE a rumbling V8 in this truck. Do any shops take firstborns in as trades?

Roughly two grand for a used LS motor. Maybe more for ECU. Same price point for a LQ series motor with 4x4 components and ECU. So it's more economical to go with a LQ series motor, but they weigh more and the aftermarket support is considerably less than for the LS series.

It would be the type of thing where I teach myself and learn by trial and error.

Plus end up with a bunch of new tools like a welder etc.
