Until you get a @JustDSM tune. Then it really shines. Or so I hear....

 

I haven’t really experienced a lag on starts with my 255 pump. It’s been over ten years since I installed that fuel pump. But the ucon was an absolute nightmare for cold starts. Being a piggy back to the ECU it really put a toll on your starter to say the least.

 

Yup! It runs great with a 2.55 and NST overdrive kit too for over 7 years

Do they still make that kit? I can only find the standard size kit.

 

I need to clean up my wiring like that instead of having 6 different terminals bolted directly to the battery.

 

Not the overdrive kit. There were too many issues with cheap Chinese bearings and liabilities that they didn't want to take responsibility in, so under new management they made some changes, cleaned up their act, and started actually providing people the parts they ordered.

 

I’m thinking of adding to my gauge collection. Oil pressure specifically. My question is, where does the temp sensor tap into the motor at? Pic would be most helpful.

 

its often a sandwich plate at the oil filter. super simple. ill do one eventually, and fuel pressure.

 

I just changed out to the Roush tensioner. 80lbe makes all the difference for small pullies for sure. I took it one step further and made it a blank unit by removing the pretty "Roush" logo off of it too.

Anybody want an all Billet Thump tensioner unit for their 2.6 and up pullied truck?

200 plus shipping. I'll give it a nice clean up prior to sending it so you get it nice and pretty and shiny. If you want to run a double bearing roller I will send the bolt I used for it too. You will need to supply the washer though.

 

There was only one bearing that had an issue from my experience. And it even lasted way over 20k miles. The NST Kit is excellent quality. The problem was there was no demand at the time to build more kits after the snout cutter was introduced/proven to work on our TRD SC for the 2.7 and 2.5 SC pulley’s from an Australian of all people on XRU. And that option was way less expensive cause the NST kit needed/included a fan pulley, overdrive pulley, idler pulley and tension pulley in order to all fit.

A combination of things which the tensioner did not like all working in unison. It's a great unit, but I needed a stronger tension spring inside of the tensioner.

 

Apparently he needed something stronger and stiffer

 

2 hours late, but.....ba dum cha!
