    I considered doing that to the rear section of my exhaust too. Then saw some black Corsa exhaust tips. For $150 each. Then thought of just painting it.

    So I feel like I’ve heard this in here at some point. I’m looking for a smaller washer fluid reservoir for the truck and I feel like I heard of people running them for their meth kits? Is that correct and if so, what reservoirs are you guys using? Do they plug into the oem harness plug? Don’t want to try and mount the giant oem one to the engine cage, but still need a washer fluid reservoir/ pump for winter weather out here.

    Yeah I saw that one and wasn’t trying to spend $100 for a washer fluid reservoir. I’m planning on keeping it a washer fluid reservoir, not using for a meth kit. Found a 1st gen Tacoma one on Amazon with the pump for $30. 2.5L so about half the size of the stock 2nd gen one. We’ll see how that looks when it gets here later this week.

    We made it below freezing two nights ago. Back in the 70s today. Low will bottom out in the teens, with a high below freezing, and snow on Thursday. :eek:

    Holy crap! So now I know what it is like to drive a 2nd gen with a supercharger! But my buddy said it best, "look at it this way, you have been chasing power and mpg's for so long, you built the truck for a faulty $125 part" First run out and I went over 5psi. I have never seen that with this truck. And smooth power it is. Sure hope the mpg's come back up though cause 120-140 a tank is just getting to be too damn expensive. And I was not able to helicoil 2 of the 4 that the threads pulled on. Oh I did not bottom out the bolt to test, I thought about that, and that was a dumb idea. I used a stack of washers to check torque. So I have two holes that have been drilled and tapped for a helicoil but I can not get a helicoil to insert. Not sure why at all, I even shaved down the mounting tool to fit up in between the fins. Yes it is the top center two. I did find out the tap for the helicoil is a m7x1 so I bought two m7 bolts yesterday and went to install them but the lid needs opened up also and even an 11mm socket doesn't fit in there. Not sure I am ready to go there yet. Want to play with the helicoils again when I am not so tired. Got the truck wrapped up at 5 am and needed to be to work at 7:30. Got about an hour of a power nap in. But it was worth it! Boost is good and it is in the 20's here in the morning and 70 now. And I highly suggest new gaskets, I have two holes with no bolts in and another two on the bottom that pulled thread on final assembly. I need to just time sert all of them except the two that have the helicoil in them and call it good. I seriously can not believe how much fun the truck is now though. This is how I imagined it should be! Now I really want to drop pulley sizes! Those diesels in mexico are going to be so much more fun now!

    We all knew something was up, you just had to find it.

    Your mileage should go up significantly because you are now actually using all that extra fuel that was being dumped in to compensate for boost.

    At the request of @BillDaCat8 I am posting this here. Also for @12TRDTacoma to add part # 99421 to the billdacat8 wrap mod. It is a Cloyes brand idler at Rockauto.

    I just installed a 2.3 pulley with a stock 70.5" Gates RPM belt and an M8x60mm grade 10.9 flange head bolt.
    The tensioner is perfectly adjusted and wrap is where it really should be.
    I may go back to the stock (non Roush) tensioner now to alleviate extra stress as the extra belt tension (I dont think) is needed due to the extra wrap.

    I fully agree with @12TRDTacoma on this one! This is the belt wrap to run with a 2.3 pulley! Great work @BillDaCat8!

    The only thing I dont like is the 60mm long bolt going into maybe 1/2" thick aluminum threads which puts a huge side load on the bolt/idler. I may fabricate a brace to reduce the side loading.
