driveline issues are gone. truck drives smoother than ever. a balanced driveshaft is very important. thanks for all the helpful suggestions fellas!

No odd noises, didn’t notice anything out of the norm.

here’s some photos - anything look wrong (besides the pulley not being smaller)?

Yes, it’s good. Checked flow too.

I guess it could be something else dogging the truck, just feels like it lost all boost.
I need to get a boost gauge anyway so this’ll be a good motivator.

Oil level ok, coolant ok? If thinking internals, you may want to do leak down test. Or at the very least compression testing at TDC. Couple of hundred bucks at a mechanic shop. Or $50 for the kit and a few minutes watching YouTube. Getting to the spark plugs is a PITA but if you’ve changed your own plugs before this wouldn’t be much more difficult.

It’s super easy to install. Wiring and making everting look neat is what takes the longest.

Did it happen shortly after getting gas?
Bad/low octane fuel will force the ecu to pull timing to save itself from knock. It definitely will make the truck lose noticeable power.

That’s a good thought, I filled up 3 days ago. Would that throw a code?

I’m still under the factory warranty with the truck and blower, still keeping my fingers crossed it’s something small and/or stupid though.

Ahhh, re-reading this you never said you DIDNT have boost, you said you dont FEEL any.

So the biggest questions are when exactly did it start doing this?
Did it happen all of a sudden or slowly over time?
    Eliminate variables...
Did you just fill up gas?
Anything else changed right before you felt power loss?

What fuel pump do you have?

    Miles on truck?
Miles on sc? (Just a guess)

Having more gauges boost/vac, afr, would give us some valuable information we dont have currently.

Do you have a scangauge or Ultragauge to check your afr's?

Bad ass! I get some vibes if I get on it some from a stop. Dreading traveling down this road.

Maybe maybe not. If it misfired it would, low octane probably not. The ecu would sense the excessive knocking and pull timing out which would kill power and fuel economy.

Did you fill up at same (familiar) gas station or some random station?
Are you SURE you put premium in?

You could try throwing a bottle or two of octane booster for shins and grins and see if power comes back.

Please let us know the fix when solved.

So I last gassed up 3 days ago, definitely premium but at a station I don’t usually go to. The first couple days I didn’t notice power loss but that could well be it.

34,000 miles on truck, about 30k on sc. Stock fuel pump. AFR’s seem pretty normal (read through my Kenwood / Maestro setup)

Do afr's richen like normal when you start getting on it?
A semi clogged fuel filter can still flow enough fuel at low power levels but starve flow (leaning out) at higher fuel flow demands.
Observing your afr's can help eliminate this potential problem.

Yeah, when I was trying to whomp on it it still pinned at the min readout of 11.7 or something around there

When I gassed up I selected premium, paid the premium price, but it was a Maverik station and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a bad tank. Maybe I’ll try a can of octane booster and see if that helps.

just get a balance check. money well spent.
its 10 bolts. have a brass hammer or equivelent to encourage the u-joints from the flange. virgin mating surfaces are a snug fit. two people is easiest, straps or jackstands makes a one man job easier.

The maestro is not a good indication of air fuel ratio because it is utilizing the OE sensors through the OE PCM which tops out right around that amount. You need a reliable AFR gauge and a boost gauge to really figure out what is going on. A blower equipped CA without either of those is just asking for problems.

Possible you have a bad tank of gas? Yes, it is a very possible variable.

Possible you have a bad fuel pump? Yes, very much so. The OE fuel pump is not a proper fuel source to feed that blower in my opinion, and as much as it has worked for some people it is still dicey and is very possibly choking you out as previously mentioned.

Still dogging it this morning, checked timing at WOT and it's a 0* +/- 2. On another thread guys were saying they're at ~12. Does this look like my engine is pulling timing likely due to low octane?

4500' elevation if that makes any difference. Again, all stock TRD sc setup except for AFE intake.
