I had less than 30k before switching out the sleeve. It was squealing pretty bad for a while. And the bearing was trash also

To be clear, you're saying that the sleeve is trash right? IIRC, you're running the CM hydro, if so, how's it treating you so far?

I'm hoping to get my entire clutch rebuild over black Friday...

Maybe get me some HP tuners as well.

i THink the sleeve sucks. even after the sleeve was installed in squealed and the bearing wore out.
I love the CM unit so far. easy clutch pedal feel and engagement. quiet as can be

u remove the throwout bearing and clutch fork and replace it with a hydro activated bearing

It rides on its own sleeve overtop the original quill that solidly mounts to the face of the trans housing.

I would personally chase the stud, I don't like altering things on the block unless I absolutely have to but that's just the way I've always seen it.

The way I see it is like this. An engine needs three things for it to work properly: air, fuel, and spark. That is the life blood of it. Without any of those the engine will not run and if there is a deficiency of one of those the engine will run, but not correctly and there will be increased risk of damages elsewhere due to that same reason.

Many members are already aware of the physical size of the OE fuel pump and given that we are modding past the point of original OE intentions (which was NA all of this time) why would you risk your engine all to save a couple bucks on an item that you buy once and cry once over? Between the gauges and the pump, it is a toss up yes, but the fuel pump should be one of the very first mods you do on these trucks if you boost it and have even a twinkle of plans for go fast stuff later on down the road in your eyes.

As @Torspd has always said, and I agree with....even if you think you don't need a new fuel pump, its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. pretty cheap insurance to prevent a loss of fuel under a hard pull.

With all the added goodies to the motor.......there is no reason not to upgrade the fuel pump.

It looks great on paper. Let’s see it out on the trail?

I’m all for making forward progress technologically and environmentally. I just will wait to see how well it’s durability plays out.

I'm not sure how well it would do on the trail but it would be damn cool to try it out. I think it may be a little too big though. It's a massive truck.

You still get 200 miles outta that beast? Not too shabby :D
