    I've been running the same setup for 6 months with no changes. This morning was not abnormally cold or anything either so conditions were not atypical.

    I can check the fluids this evening, I am also running the CSF FJ radiator. I'd be surprised if there was a gasket failure.

    I'll have to see if I can pull the data, I know I can if I start logging before running but I'm not sure if I can retroactively retrieve it afterward.

    I've definitely done aggressive WOT runs in much colder conditions, so it would be surprising if the MAF topped out today but not previous runs. Agreed that a code does not necessarily pinpoint a problem, but is an indicator of something that has occurred in the system. My smart OBDII reader lists a P1605 'rough idle' in a Toyota as the description saying a knock control malfunction. I'm curious if maybe the system tried to correct for possible knock and fell on its face. Unsure. I definitely had a couple misfires under load while still having good power before the truck really ate it and lost significant power, leading me to wonder if the misfires under load caused the knock sensor to trigger.

    It is a 2015 with about 58k miles.

    I'll have to check. But it ran fine after sitting for a few minutes so I doubt the hose came off.

    How did you attach your gauges? My speed hut gauges don't use the same rear bolt mount as the flexpod.

    it could be your intercooler gasket got sucked in the motor. confused it a bit during digestion, then fine. in these temps you may not notice anything different without it. mine was partially missing. i have lower miles, and a catch can. could be something to check out.

    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    I don’t have any nuts or bolts on the gauges. I simply wrapped the gauge in one or two wraps of electrical tape and then worked them into the pod. They are very tight inside the flex mount and don’t need anything extra to hold them. Hope that helps. I have 2 1/16 revolution gauges.

    If you have misfires under load especially under high load that leads me to suspect that you are having spark blowout either caused by faulty plugs or the more likely of the issue, coil issues. I have seen coils fail at all sorts of mileages.

    It would seem like high boost would blow the gasket outward, not suck it in.

    part failure happens. oil residue on intercooler can reduce flow. possibly enough to wiggle that gasket loose. mine ate a 3" section and i never knew. iirc if it does come loose it would get sucked in. probably why its such a soft foam.

    That would explain why mine didn’t have one when I rebuilt it. I have a brand new one sitting in the garage. Not sure I need it or even want it now.

    I have AEM AFR gauge in a flex pod. Took some bolts, some threaded rod, and some work but I have it mounted and its solid. Had to extend the threaded rod on the back of the slim gauge to reach out the back of the pod. I had to add washers where the pod attaches to the steering column bracket because my gauge face rubbed the wheel when I turned, as well as sand down the two buttons on the front of the gauge because they stuck out too far and rubbed as well.

    In the end, I wanted to use the flex pod, so I made it work.

    im just guessing but i think magnuson did their homework. knowing the gasket could randomly fail over time they must have chosen a soft/degradable material not to damage an engine.

    Yeah it’s pretty common those innercooler foam gaskets or pieces of them get sucked into the intake ports after about 65k of use. I removed mine completely a long time ago even though foam isn’t going to hurt anything

    That's what I thought. I won't be putting mine back in. When I disassembled the engine after it was under water, that foam was half down an intake tube barely holding on and it didn't take much to pull it off the rest of the way. Could be a poor glue they use to put it on, could have been the water. Probably a combination of both.
