even with the overflow tank cap removed things still arent working. im incredibly stubborn so ill find a way to lower the tank an inch to make it work.

I was......I thought all that’d be needed would be to cut a circle into the AFE box. No go huh? What else would have to be done??

well, it can work but its a little effort. either cut holes in the intake scoop to accept the washer lid or lower the washer tank. with a little work it can be done. im just irritated my 10 minute mod is now not that.

Are you using the new momentum intake or the older style?

I have the CSF FJ radiator. I got the FJ shroud and tank from rockauto. It all fits well with the aFe Intake Momentum GT Power Package (2005-2011 model years). It covers the radiator cap, so I just have to remove the scoop (remove clips and twist) if I ever need to access radiator cap.

Oo man. Anything that covers critical fluid caps are a no no for me on my truck in the event of an emergency or a need for fluid replenishment on the fly, I can't reach it and that's not cool.

That reminds me of GMC Acadias which hide the radiator cap under this ridiculous air direction cover. The cap is impossible to take off by hand too and it is just the stupidest thing I have ever had the displeasure of working on. Rant over. Lol.

It takes literally fractions of a second to get to. I have a harder time getting to my radiator cap on my stock IS250.

I read nothing in that last statement other than, "it has a cover over it."

Funny thing is... This showed up when we got back from dropping it back off. if done correctly the first time.. the timing would have been perfect. Lol.

Took it back. He immediately worked with me and talked about the issues. I stayed calm and gave them their chance. Went out and I personally showed and went over all my concerns. Both crawled under the truck and he was surprised how bad the work was. We talked and came up with a game plan. It's all going to be covered by them, and now they are building me a whole new y pipe with vibrant flanges and gaskets, he's personally going to work on the truck and weld up everything. As far as the blower lid and bolts, he's taking it all apart again and doing every one of them this time. I'm trying to stay positive and give them the benefit of the doubt.. but if it's shit again when I pick it up, I'll have no choice but to take action.

Surprising... Because I've seen their work and the cars they build/tune. My shitbox is the cheapest thing there most of the time. We'll see..

It’s hard to keep your cool in a situation like that, good work and we’ve got our fingers crossed that it works out for you brother.

This is the way it's done. Being calm and cool under poor or less than desirable situations not only shows the mark of a true mans character, but it also helps get them what they are after much easier, and folks are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that person is satisfied.

Thanks guys. He did seem legitimately sorry and surprised. But that makes me wonder.. who checks the work before it goes back to the customer? I have this shitty scenario in the back of my mind just in case.. that they tried pulling a fast one.. so kind of prepping for more.. shitty.. shit to happen.
