Well when is the clunking occurring and is it at speed or at anytime?

I have an awfully HORRID squeak from my uniball control arms, but I let it be because I that's a totally losing battle, and I know what it is so I just let it be.

Serious. I regret getting the TC arms. They are very well built but fck uniballs. Won’t be doing that again. I don’t care how much ptfe you spray on them, one dirt road is all it takes to get these things full of junk.

My uni-balls used to sweak like crazy! Never again. Delta Joints FTW. But race truck parts make race truck sounds. My LCA,s are not race truck parts, the bushings are just wore the F*** out. They are so bad that they clunk when the weight shifts from turning. But I am pretty good with suspension. @Athlaos what is your set up? Does it make the sound in the front or the back? Turning or straight. Do you have to hit bumps to hear it? Can you tell if it is on the compression or rebound of the bump? Lots to pay attention to with suspension noises. But maybe we can get it figured out without a repair shop bill. If you want.

you might take a look under your truck at the front and see if your front shocks are leaking. I had a nasty clunk when i hit bumps in my truck whenever i had higher mileage on the stock shocks. One of them was leaking and that fixed my problem. Also saw the same issue and noise on a buddys truck that had a leaking front shock. Id start there, like others have said, it could be a number of things

Problem is that I also have a lower control arm which is uniball as well. Good old Dirt Slut (King) control arms.

My upper arm uniballs are fucked though and I can tell they are. I have been wanting to get the Delta joint for a while but I forgot they even existed because they dragged their feet on producing the joint for other control arms, they are available for other types of control arms outside of their own now?

Yes, You can get them for other companies UCA's. Not sure if they will work for lowers yet. But I was about to order Dirt Kings new ball joint lowers and decided to make a call to Icon about them coming out with lowers. I can't say for sure, but they said if I needed them now to buy Dirt Kings. They had nothing but good things to say about them. But if I had some time to wait, they might have LCA's this spring. But only if they can make them different than the Dirt King's. And they have to incorporate their secondary shock set up onto the arms as well. I shouldn't be waiting, cause my tires are paying the price, but if were to buy Dirt Kings I know that as soon as Icon came out with a set I would have to have theirs. Why, cause I am a Icon whore. Been doing business with them and running their stuff since before they were Icon and used to be Donahoe Racing. Very good group of people and they have always treated me right and I can attest to the quality of the product. And when "shit happens", they have stood behind it. But I have been loyal to them and not wavered and say how they conducted themselves during the collapse of Donahoe and rise of Icon. Very good people. But in short, they may have new Delta Joint applications for other companies LCA's in the future also.

As soon as they release lowers for their Delta joint line up you can so bet I am buying them. I am absolutely SICK of uniballs.

Do you just run them the way they appear, or do you put a dust boot on them?

I have the billet UCA's so they have a cover over the top and all of the Delta Joints have a boot on the joint part. They are basically a overbuilt high angle ball joint.

Can you show me that boot?

If I'm going to dive into this, I am going to do it correctly, because I refuse to deal with squeaking anymore.

I’ve had TC uniball Upper Control arms on for over 60k. No strange squeaks. I use Tri flow religiously as a lubricant.

Yeah, I have a pair in stock. I will go take a picture of them. But now you have me second guessing them. Maybe there is no boot? Now I need to see. Just a minute.

I never lube mine. I tried to lube them for some time but it doesn't matter how much you put on, they just squeak like no tomorrow no matter what. Junkers. Lol.

Most common and easy to check/fix clunk symptom I've found over the years.. (and it usually takes care of mine and others clunk issues..) is to check the LCA bolts. Just takes a little slop in the cam tab bolts/bushings to cause the dreaded clunk. tighten em up a bit and go for a test drive. otherwise, depending on suspension setup, the next most common thing I've experienced is Spherical bearing and/or the misalignment spacers being worn out. I've replaced mine a time or two due to them being worn and causing clunks.

So there is no boot on the bottom side. Just a seal where the ball joint pivots in the body. And the top is closed off.
