Ahh, okay, so they integrated the equal to a shock absorber type wiper seal. Those are pretty good. I need to get me a pair.

I ran these on my 2017 and now run them on my 2015. They seem like the best of both worlds. Grease them every oil change and forget it.

Speaking of suspension, just went and test drove a 2020 Platinum Tundra with Icon stage 4 suspension and TRD rear sway bar. This is going to be one really happy customer. He was waiting to know my opinion on it before he drives over from Jackson Hole, WY. Suspension is super plush but solid and soaks up the speed bumps at the mall like they aren't there. Sad because this is going to be a truck that drives from Jackson Hole to Teton Village and back and that is about all. But he knows Harrison Ford so maybe he will get him to go use the truck a bit. LOL

I stopped buying Icon stuff after whichever jack off that answered the phone talked to me like I was in special ed. Only dealt with Downsouth after that. Long ago I even paid extra to have downsouth receive my Icon bypasses only to have them send them back to Icon, and Icon back to downsouth. I hated dealing with them THAT much.

Sorry to hear that. I know they have had a few phone jockey's over the years that have been less than ever tolerable. I don't deal with them. I have my people that I deal with and they have been there a very long time and treat me right. A couple of them since the Donahoe days. Sorry to hear they had a bad egg spoil it for you. But I have read about it from a lot of people. They definitely have a mixed history of customer service. Which sucks because they have such good product. Their worst problem is trying to keep up with demand. Just like CBI. People don't want to wait for quality product when it comes to accessories. But they will wait for a quality steak. Quality takes time.

It's all the stock set-up except for a thicker sway bar.

Happens at any speed. Sometimes clunks when turning tight corners at low speed, always clunks when hitting bumps.

I already know I need new dampers. I've needed new ones for quite some time actually, which is why I bought them and have procrastinated on putting them in.

All stock, original, except for a thicker sway bar. Front sounds. Clunks when turning tight corners and going over bumps at any speed. Steering is still tight. Definitely do know I need new dampers though. Sure, we'll try to get it figured out then... I don't want to go to a shop if I don't have to.

If thats the case id start by replacing the shocks since youve already got em. Might be an easy fix vs trying to trouble shoot the problem. Mine would clunk bad pulling out of anywhere where there was a dip, was really noticeable while turning/pulling out of a parking lot where the parking lot was higher than the road.

Replace the dampers, they are known to clunk when tired. Eliminate that question mark first then move forward.

Have you replaced the radiator core support bulkhead bushings? The OE ones clunk like a motherfucker.

I’ve heard of folks putting the delta joints into TC arms. Just a thought. Mine squeak like crazy but I need to grease the bushings

    Thanks for the help guys.

I don’t have radiator support bushings, my Champion radiator is held in by C-clamps and JB weld.

I've noticed a huge improvement having a kit that uses vertical uni-balls on the joints. My old TC kit was super noisy as mentioned. Mainly because they are setup to where dirt water and grime naturally puddle and sit in the uni-ball cup.

Just a question before I tear into the damper replacement. Is there anything else I should look for or check to diagnose, just in case it's NOT the dampers that are the problem? Reason being, I don't want to have to take the suspension apart twice if I don't have to. So if there's anything else going on, I want to diagnose it first so I can fix it at the same time.
