    @12TRDTacoma what shall we discuss tonight? I believe this is glass 3 or 4. All I can promise is a hope for boost tomorrow. Today was very unboostful and the dd is almost out of gas. The truck is not. 95% chance of boost and an airborne truck in the next 48hrs.

    Ps, someone buy my old rims to add to my axle funds.

    Well hey, this is my first legitimate tank of gas driving like I normally do on these cam gears and have so far noticed an increase of about 1 mpg... I'm actually curious what others are ranging on miles per tank before and after their cam gears.

    August is approaching and that is when my next smog check is so I'm gathering all the little crap hardware that goes on the intake air cleaner to make sure I have it ready.

    Today was a relatively uneventful day for me as well. I went to the gym late morning and then slept most of the mid afternoon out of pure exhaustion.

    I'm wondering what their nominal miles per tank increase has been. I used to get some 232 if I drove like an normal American citizen, with ocassional use of boost. If 1 mpg is the new rise then that would incinuate that you are getting some 249-250 miles per tank before fill up (this is from full to the moment the light turns on).

    My last tank showed 166 miles before the fuel light went on for reference. Though my “for reference “ is not really referenceable to most.

    That was about where I was sitting. Full tank to light on use to be ~220 miles. Then after cams 240s was light on

    That makes me happy. I am so for less fill ups at the gas stations. It's a real pain in the ass to have to fill up so often.

    What that also tells me is that earlier gen Toyotas of the 2000s also ran cleaner than their newer more ARB strict standards, this is not referring to 2nd gen Tacos but T4R, Sequoia, Tundra, because they usually got better mileage over the Tacomas with same sized fuel tanks.

    When this motor goes bye bye, I will have the serious inquiry of staying Toyota true with s 5.7 or saying f*^k Toyota and doing an LS swap. I’m at roughly 140k calibrated odo miles so this motor is barely broken in.

    I'm sitting at 117K miles. Things have been good, of course I am plagued with steering issues which never seem to go away but the truck drives and well so it's tolerable.

    An LS swap would be fun! Then throw a TVS on it. ;)

    I like the 5.7 iForce Toyota engines too though.
