TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

This is what I upgrade my 13 wheel to. the SR model has all black and ran a couple extra wires so it lights up and all controls work. With the android HU I just added serves for a ton of options. I was debating on trying the new 19/20 models since they added a few more buttons. The Corolla one is an intriguing mod though.

If you want all of the buttons to work on that steering wheel then you will need to run an extra wire from the spiral cable connector to the stereo and maybe relocate a ground. though I'm pretty sure you know that because I think I saw you commenting about it in one of those threads.

 

Yah I ran the extra wire and got the connector. It was pretty simple to do. You also need to run an extra wire to illuminate is since our 13's did not have it. Did not need to relocate the ground or do not recall doing that (i may have). The biggest one is getting the extra connector and running the 1 wire.

 

I actually cut my wires running to the radio because I am running the AXCESS AWSC-1 unit, so I no longer have a need for those connectors.

 

+1. Highly recommended mod that's one of the cheapest, easiest, and quickest to install.

I'll see you and raise you the 2.5" to which I jumped after installing a 2.7" for a very short time.

i was going to, but i use a funnel so i dont make a mess. id rather buy a sweet oem aluminum cap.

 

I got the clutchmaster one I’m not gonna use that I’ll sell you for cheap. It’s really nice but I have a TRD one from Japan that I’d rather use. Remind me and I’ll send you a pic tomorrow.......I’m at the firehouse.

 

Which is vehicle that has the Haltech on it? Cannot remember.

 

That was my 1995, I sold it in dec 2018.

I have been slowly building this one. I almost went turbo but decided I wanted to keep this one simple.

I'm slowly sinking into the rabbit hole though.

Im gonna give the supercharger a go. Im am looking into a haltech, I like to have full control.
