    Honestly I trimmed it so it would not contact the radiator. I did NOT re-attach. Ill add some weather stripping down there when I get some.

    The Plastic I did cut was pretty minimal

    This truck sees dirt alot so :notsure:

    This. I keep seeing people struggling with ucon to get it right. Mine has been fine for 110k miles and just recently (last 6months) started throwing p430 or whatever it is for cat efficiency. I think ovtune is gonna be the way to go in another 6months or so once he gets caught up and can get some more tunes dialed in

    I would love a consistent and reliable Ucon too :rolleyes: With a o2 sim and TRD reflash you should be CEL free. And yes, FPR mod will definitely help with fuel and AFRs. The ovtune has promise with our TRD setups. But, the way things are going, it’s probably a year out for reliable custom tunes with bigger injectors, aftermarket cams, etc...

    @jojotoo, I know this is off topic, but I saw you had drivetrain vibes and you went with the new driveshaft. Was that the only answer? Mine are at 1500 rpm. I like to think we're a more civilized group in the SC threads. Maybe you could enlighten us. I didn't used to have vibes. I've been wondering if it had something to do with applying hp to the rear tires...

    Oh, it wasn't you! It was @HolyHandGrenade. I knew it was one of you guys that was new to me in this thread. Get him over here and let's have a discussion about this vibration thing. I don't want to do a bunch of research. I want to get to the answer. I've already replace the carrier bearing and had the driveshaft balanced. That did nothing.

    Do you have any lift in the rear? Or are you getting vibes on stock ride height? The most common solution I have seen in here is having the stock shaft converted to a double cardan joint, or if you never plan on regearing getting a single piece with double cardan joint from a shop like tom woods.

    I'm running OME rear leafs and Icon stage 4 shocks. Didn't have a vibe until about 65k miles. It just seems crazy to have to get a new driveshaft. I've seen the thread with the double-cardan driveshaft. Just seems weird that not everyone has an issue.

    I did the same. I dropped the center support bearing. Made things worse.

    I said F-this and had a one piece made locally. That fixed everything. Although I didn’t think so at first.

    I still had a bad vibe between 85-95 MPH. I decided I could live with that. I don’t normally drive that fast anyway. And, it was much more tolerable than the vibes all over the place.

    Now, I have an FJ T-case and an FJ axle tube (ADD delete). My front DS spins all the time.

    Long story short... I had my skids off to work on my truck a few weeks ago. I had a very low mileage front DS that I’d picked as a spare. My original front DS has 82k on it (un-corrected for the 35s) So I figured I’d swap it out.

    All vibes completely gone.

    Once I realized the one piece was successful, I had a second made for a spare.

    The local Off Road Park is 2.5 hours away. We wheel pretty hard on very rocky trails. If I bend a DS, and I have, I’m not driving home with constant vibes.

    Not to mention, we did Moab from NJ last year, and are planning to do it again this year.

    That’s actuslly why I did the Supercharger in the first place. I told my Wife “No way I’m dragging this trailer across the country in a 6000 lb Taco in 35s with 235 HP”

    Side note:

    I could’ve had the one piece cheaper from Tom Woods. I knew I’d need a re-tube, or multiple, though...

    It’s nice to have a relationship with a local shop for that. IMHO anyway.

    Also, mine are not double cardan. The guy who built them (The Axle Exchange in Fairfield NJ) said it wouldn’t make any difference and it wasn’t worth the extra money. Take that however you’d like, but they are a small family business, and held in high regard around here. They are pricey, but good stuff normally is.

    That turned into a long story anyway, didn’t it?

    That’s a point of contention...

    In the middle? A little.

    At the rear where it’s most likely to be hit? I gained clearance. The slip joint on my one piece is in the rear. It’s a smaller diameter than the tube.

    I also have a custom made, by @stairgod , traction bar. It helps with axle wrap, and more importantly, protects the DS on ledges. It’s saved me a $200 re-tube multiple times at this point. Especially in Moab.

    Lol! Jon says he’s not making any more. I got the last one :cool:

    It is pretty cool though. The mount is welded to the axle tube, instead of being bolted to the third studs.

    The way we wheel, I’d always be worried about the bolt in one.
