It could be any number of things left loose during the install or, most likely, it’s nothing. I’d double check the pulleys and whatnot.

Also, I would get an AFR gauge installed to make sure your not running lean and to verify your current tune is safe.

Too vague to say what it is. We need a video or something that pinpoints in on the rumble you speak of. Welcome to the fold!

    Thanks!
Alright, I'll see if I can get it on video, I'll post it tomorrow. It's already beer o'clock.
It might not be super audible, hopefully that's a good thing.

Is there a recommended bolt with part# when setting up a rousch tensioner and the 50mm pulley? I don't see how you get rid of the slop with a normal bot. Or is the bolt and washer holding the bearing tight against the tensioner arm? What am I missing?

There is a built in sleeve that is on the Roush tensioner and the double bearing roller comes with a supplied billet sleeve which is meant to absorb the rest of the slack which is there. That need to be cut to length however. As far as the bolt. I believe it's either going to be a 45 or 50mm M8x1.25 length bolt needed to fit in there.

Dude you live in Sac. I'll be there next weekend. If you want I could swing by at some point and just take a look or listen to your truck to see what the heck it is you are talking about.

So you're saying the gap between the threads and the sleeve is OK? I get the need to trim the sleeve. But the bolt is narrower than the internal diameter of the sleeve. Was thinking there may be a specialty bolt. I guess I just need to rely on the pinching of the sleeve to the tensioner.

Yes there will be some actual wiggle so to speak.

If you are still unsure you can snap a picture to explain to me what you are saying but I am pretty sure we are on the same page here.

Indeed! the HP Tuner has come in handy. Will be doing some extra tuning for the FIC and a few others things.

Worked out well! Thank you again for those.

Me? Nothing. The previous, a lot.
Mine has a deep V8, look at my small wiener growl at first start up/crank but I haven’t noticed anything when accelerating. I’ll check in the AM though.

also, I can vouch for justDSM’s service; I got my ECM returned on a Friday when I shipped it Monday.

    My shit is all stock.
Send off your ecu to @JustDSM and see if those changes help with your rumble.

While your ecu is gone, try to con @12TRDTacoma into helping you do the fuel pump.

Well that is one way of describing the way it runs now.

I live at least an hour away from him, maybe more. I hated doing my own fuel pump as it was. It would cost approximately one award winning, Nobel prize type blowie for me to help anyone do theirs because of the amount of suck it is to drop the tank (in my case, one man lift the bed then figure out how to hold it up safely) then make the annoying modifications needed to make it fit in there and work.

If I could describe doing the fuel pump retrofit off a lift in one emoji on here, I would post a dumpster fire emoji for the sort of work involved to do it.

I know past people with Bully Dog tune were running very lean part throttle so do you think the sound is pinging?
Very hard to tell if you dont have an afr gauge.

    I absolutely 100% recommend @JustDSM's service!
He WILL get your truck running waaaay better than any other option out there!

Most of us here use him including myself.

And I’m about to start my fuel pump right meow... maybe I’ll just return everything, including the SC; I’ve been putting off this fuel pump and filter replacement all week too.
