It should. That information has to be available to global OBD2 systems no matter what because it helps the PCM determine fueling strategy immediately and over time.

It's not the pump which is causing a rich issue. You have something else going on here. A pump will cause a lean issue, not a rich, unless you have a bad internal fuel pressure regulator inside of the fuel pump bucket, but there is no way that thing can really get damaged.

The reality here is that the fact that you are now supercharged you will lose a little bit of fuel economy unless you can keep your foot out of it to maintain vacuum. Pumping losses are the enemy, but overfueling required to keep everything cool does not help either. Because you need to wash the cylinder down in order to keep the combustion chamber from grenading.

It is possible you have a fuel pressure regulator issue at the rail leaking fuel into the vacuum line which is allowing additional fuel to get sucked through, but to cause that much of a loss in fuel economy you would have to be leaking badly.

We need your STFT and LTFT days to make a more accurate recommendation on what is occurring but one thing is for sure assuming aerodynamics are not the issue, you are running too rich and it needs to be addressed.

Here's a screenshot of of his fuel trims during a normal drive log (you can guestimate the averages):

 

If he had bad misfires he would see wet spark plugs which still smell of fuel. He hasn't indicated that, but the fact he has had a 30% in just putting the blower on tells me a fueling issue either on the software side or a hardware side is in play because that's too much of a loss.

@nudavinci64 fouled O2 sensors? Not sure if you mentioned their history....

Given that we live in the same vicinity with mods in the same ballpark... i get ~11mpg when i lead foot a tank of gas. ~13mpgs in mixed city/highway... and I think I averaged 14.5 on a trip to Yosemite back in late Feb. I have no real armor nor bed hardware.

I've never gotten single digits for fuel economy avg. I'm frugal and opt for Costco premium unleaded. And the occasional Chevron when my Safeway points gives me a discount.

Yep, he's definitely running rich at certain points. I'm going to need to see a video @nudavinci64 of them in action. Particularly at idle and at 2500 RPM.

How many miles do you have on it?

Truck has 68k so it’s still a baby in Tacoma terms. Was bone stock until 42k five or take. Original owner for anyone wondering the age etc.

yah I guess well. see. seems hard to pinpoint. still crazy to me that installing the extra goodies made it that much worse.

 

I think it may had been an impending issue that pushed you over the edge.
