We were definitely all there once. If I had the access to money that I do now I'm sure I my GTO would have had a nasty supercharger on it on top of all the engine mods it already had.

My ripp coil packs are going to be delivered today! I just got off the phone with the owner of Ripp, his name is Ross. Super cool dude. For everyone who is going to be looking for the version that fits out trucks better he said they are about 1-2 months out because covid has slowed things down. In terms of performance it is the same as the current ones they are selling. Now it’s a race between @12TRDTacoma and myself to see who can get them installed first

 

I wonder how the fitting will work out.

 

He said biggest issue is going to be the cylinder 2 coil pack connector. There is electrical tape holding it tight to the main harness and you will need to remove that to give you more slack. We also discussed possible issue with the coil pack insulator being longer and making it difficult to install with a supercharger on. I think the wire length will be the ultimate issue but I will find out soon enough.

 

I'll beat you to it. If I get them today I'm putting them on tomorrow morning. Lol.

Oh yeah, speaking of tomorrow morning, I have a Dyno appointment at 4 in Fremont to run on the Dynojet so it'll work out great.

 

I wonder if any settings need to be changed for the coil packs, for better optimization, or if they are perfect as is?

 

Damn it. They arrive tomorrow and knowing UPS they arrive super late in the day so I'm screwed for Dyno day as far as getting them on go. @Murphinator

 

I played myself also lol mine are going to be here tomorrow too now. Thanks Ups. They will probably show up while I am gone. So if I get them installed it will be friday or saturday. I am ok with you installing them first, then you can give me tips on install

 

Yeah well now I can take my time because it goes outside of my time window of tomorrow's errands.

 

What shop at 4pm tmw? I'll swing by and sit my fat ass in the bed to load down the drive wheels so there's no hopping/skipping on the rollers.

I think it would be nice data for you to have the same set up on the different dyno. That way we know what the difference is. But I'm sure you want to pump those numbers!

 

Just make sure that they use SAE smoothing. Not STD.
