OE sized tires. I think they are 32s but actually measure in at 31.68" from what I remember. 265/75/16. OE gears. Tire weight can't be more than 75 lbs. It's been a while since I weighed the wheels. I run some 140+ lbs in skids though and that's where a lot of the extra weight is at along with the extra suspension gear.

Where do you have your AFR sensor mounted in the exhaust stream?

What is it that you need?

Right at the end of the Y after the merge. I use a heat sink bung extender to prevent overheating of the sensor. This is probably the best picture I have of it at the time I took one. Which was back in 2015-2016 at this point. The piping has changed since but the position of it hasn't.

If you are going to compare coil packs apples to apples then why not have much closer throttle output and MAFs.

I was hoping I had more data at the time of my previous log, however, when I was running it at the time I was looking for knock clean up more than anything and I had already ran out my testing, so it was more of a new log to track the changes for the decatting if any. Plus sometimes it's really hard to do runs based on traffic around me. I don't want to be "that moron" after all.

Unfortunately as far as the previous logs go all I have is that one which I still have on file, as I deleted the old ones. The curses of having a low storage capacity laptop. (Seriously, this thing is almost EXCLUSIVELY meant for tuner purposes)

I can say based on previous logs though, the knock feedback trend based on the sensor output is lower than it previously used to be.

Piezoelectric wraf sensors with the CAN connection for the Haltech, and higher output coilpacks. As swapping to the R35 GTR coil packs, is much more intensive than I really want to do.

Ahh. Gotcha. Well these RIPP coils will work just fine. Just trim off a little but off each boot, lube the boots with some sort of lubricating paste and install away. :)

Finally looking at that 3.5 tacoma Ripp coil pack youtube video... Its so hard to believe those coil packs created 20 lbs of torque and 18 rwhp on a dyno dynamics?!! With no tune or complimentary mods.

Also why are they selling an orange/black coil kit yet in the video they use an all black coil that looks different. Let alone the video doesn’t even mention the orange/black coils throughout the entire video which is what they are selling?
Am I missing something here

What I was explained is the first version was orange black, they made changes and ordered the black for testing and once they got what they wanted they updated it to the orange/black

That was fun. Really like the sound with headers, stock y, and TRD exhaust. She rips and no CELs.

Gotcha! Still think it’s strange Ripp never even mentions the final product for the entire video. And the black coil “boots” they test look completely different than the final product.

20 lbs /18 RWHP increase on 3.5?! Curious what they will say numbers wise for the 4.0 coil packs coming out soon.

If you watch the 4runner 4.0 video I believe they talked about it. Again the tests are on bone stock trucks too

Bone stock only hurts Ripps case. For comparison sake ripps “so called” increase across the board dyno chart they claim would be equivalent to say something like a stock 3.0 SC pulley down to 2.8 which is a considerable increase in power. Especially on a dynamics dyno which is way more stringent than a dynojet.

I’m all about the aftermarket companies adding power for our 4.0 tacomas. But Ripps should not make unrealistic claims.
