    I need better reasons.

Just tell me its a GM and it will break and thats probably enough to keep me away.

GM cars are like prostitutes, fun to look at, but you best dare not touch.

That's another bad place to be, but bad in all the best ways. ;) Hang around here more frequently, you'll gain some excellent knowledge here and some good laughs along the process.

I presume you have the stock injectors for the TRD SC and they are the 455s. The reflash on your stock ECU you ran before the ucon will run the 455s no problem. So take the Ucon out and plug the harness back into the stock ECU.

Yep, 455s are in and I still have the original injectors. The ECU is still the Non-TRD, stock flash.

That'll give you a good baseline as to whether or not the misfire will be there but I wouldn't run it reliably with the base non TRD flash. Just as a temporary diagnose tool.

Hit up @JustDSM to get your baseline HPT modified TRD flash tune. It's worth the effort and money involved to make the switch.

I weigh a shit ton but I will say those tires are not helping ya. I run 315's as well and when I went non S/C from 285 on a re gear to 315 is was very noticeable. The tires are sooooooo heavy, but then again its prob a lot better than stock.

If you like speedhut wait for some sales. The booster if you run an AGM is $100 or so from a company in AU or there is some diode you can add. I have the booster, along with a RedArc BDDC charger so it gets to the operating quick. Still takes a few second either way.

I thought so too, but just went through his IG and I can’t seem to see front axles in the thing. Needless to say it’s a show piece that gets a few light pulls a year which is a shame.

Just get an ISF or if you wanna spend more $$ a GSF. Lexus/toyo have lots in common, won't have to get a bunch of new tools or figure out different engineering. Still same crappy aftermarket tuning support though, but not something we're not used to already.

Plans: more.
Thanks for the advice, ordered the diode with fuse from HKB and an AGM battery. I think low voltage is the issue on warm starts, will try the diode and battery before the new O2 sensor and report back.

I remember this build and was hoping there would be an easier stock 4x4 control solution. So my question still stands. Is there really a rsgear that’s new for tacomas? Cause an LS3 T56 stock control 4x4 looking xrunner would be sweet!! :D

Can’t say no to muscle :D

The GTO of that era we’re pretty cool too. Driven exclusively by douchebags, but still cool.

I actually looked at prices for GSF’s. Maybe I can afford one in 3 years. Compared to that G8 though I’d bet they’re a lot more expensive to mod. There’s not enough of them out for HP Tuners to support it either.

I agree man, the GTOs we're almost douchebag exclusive cars. It was horrible. I feel like the current G8 market is relatively small and there isn't enough out there for me to justify buying one. I found one I could buy for a little under 9K but it's been through 5 owners and I don't know if I want to inherit that potential evil with that many owners in the picture.

Then again, if I treat it like a simple car and enjoy it as such I can't be too disappointed for that price right? Especially with 300HP right out of the box with a major tuning platform for support.
