thought you need to upgrade your valve seat in the head if your running titanium valves
    Just something I remember hearing.

Install for the URD LT headers is super strait forward. Just be sure to undo the steering linkage in order to get the drivers side to fit in.

Traditional titanium valves are relatively soft, and require special seats. The Toyota valves are a sinter/forged powdered metal matrix. They work great with with the same seats as some of the gas engines... which may also be a MMC.

Good read on the valves https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/a231/975e132fe9dba7e38b79fde6620ffc03a9b5.pdf

Hey guys. Looking for opinions on this or feedback from anyone with electronic or the same boost gauge. I have been questioning the way mine reads for a while but kept chasing leaks. Got my hands on a MightyVac pressure/vacuum pump to do some system testing. With nothing running other than accessory power, the needle is jumping steadily +/- 1-3 pounds.

Was going to upload a couple seconds of video but that is kicking my ass. The gauge is an Innovate MTX-A. Is everyone else rock steady or bouncey?

Been over a year since my last power mods but the truck is still running like a screamin banshee.

Hit the dunes and sand drags again yesterday for the annual Toyota Takeover and despite a mid-80s day with a heat-soaked blower, she performed well.

Next mod is snow performance stage 3 water meth kit awaiting delivery. Considering stepping down to a 2.3 pulley to boost faster since the current drag strip is so short of a track and I cant hit full boost on the 2.5 pulley before the strip ends. May step up to 33s and a regear too because my 265/75/16s aired down for sand are still spinning out on launches using the rear locker and 4-hi. Need bigger tires for better traction.

Hey fellas, I can use some help here. I bought my truck already fitted with a super charger. It has a 3.0 pully and from what the last owner told me has a “dealership tune” after driving it from the east coast to Texas (el Paso elevation 3500ft ) the AFR is all messed up and giving me lean conditions also throwing the code for it as well. Here’s the kicker it will sit normal at 14.7 for roughly 30 mins of driving then go between 11-13.5 no matter how much/ little gas I give it. Additionally i have To smash that paddle for it go into boost range. I’ve unplugged the battery for hours already to no change, still happens.

any ideas of what could be happening?

is it possible that the ecu has dropped what ever tune it had?

could that fancy new hp tuner help?

Someone here is I’ll have some knowledge and the dealer tune is likely the standard TRD tune which tends to run rich rather than lean. could have faulty valve.

how many miles are on it?

110k Here’s the thing though this just started after moving here. Not Sure what happened to the ecu to make this go weird. Anything you got to offer would be much appreciated, thanks .

You might want to start out with identifying exactly what code is popping up? ;)

The term "dealership tune" one would think is the TRD tune but lean issues you are describing seem to be more in common with the Bullydog tune issues. For most, the TRD tune was overly rich, but safe and reliable. If you do have the TRD tune then I'd guess you have some other fuel-related issue and the tune or ECU itself is not the culprit.

Do you have a TRD stamped blower or a Magnuson stamped blower?

I’ll have to wait for the code to pop up again, I keep clearing it.

    sc says trd on it.

the previous owner didn’t mention bully dog, I would have taken note of that. But than again who knows.

TRD stamped blower means 99.9% probability its TRD tune. Have to check the calibration ID on the ECU to know for sure. And let us know the code that's popping up.

Depending on the actual code. My guess is either an exhaust leak before your wrafs or intake leak near the MAF.

There is a possibility of a fuel pump going south.

I've blinded off my fuel pump in tank pre screen....its a possibility but shouldn't really effect when boost is being seen. That sounds more like the valve on the back of the supercharger. Or a cracked vacuum line.

I am curious he said his truck is going lean but his afr is at 11-13 with no boost? That would be rich, no? Unless its higher than 12 afr with boost then I understand. But it sounds like something else is wrong if it’s dumping the fuel like crazy even when not boosting.

Thank you everyone for your input. I think we are missing a few things here. I don’t believe it’s a leak or lack of fuel pressure because the truck will run perfectly fine at 14.7 for roughly 30-45mins then start acting weird. I’m currently out in a drive trying to get it to pop that code.
