Nissan is junk. Equally saying that though sometimes they are the biggest cashcows here at my work because they are built so garbo. Like the one I worked on today.

I still wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole. And if I do, I'll have one of you guys holding the 10 foot pole while I touch it and you guys better not let go of that pole either.

Hey what's wrong with Mitsusushi? I used to own two of them, I put them through the ringer and outside of the normal stuff (battery, clutch, and tune up items after 100K) they were awesome cars to drive. Granted they were 90's gems. Eclipse and the 3000GT.
Heck yeah man. I agree with you 1000%

It's the gasket for the main lid.

I'm pretty sure that's the one everyone is making fuss about.

Oh okay yeah, it is the main strip which everyone's truck seems to swallow at some point.

I do have to say that I didn't look prior to commenting so that's my bad. Lol.

Does cleaning the Mafs have the possibility of messing them up?

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
if you touch the wire or use the wrong cleaner there is a strong possibility that it will get messed up.

Ah crap. I touched the wire with toilet paper but i only used the MAF cleaner. I cleaned it because it was super dirty and now it’s leaning out in the higher rpms. I don’t know if they have to relearn or if i messed it up

Just replace the thing. They are cheap enough as it is and eventually they lose calibration anyways due to so many cycles.

Most of the time if it comes down to the point where the MAF is reporting incorrectly and it's mildly dirty it's not even worth it to try and clean it because it does nothing for it and it throws your diagnostic process through a loop because it makes you think that it is not the cause of your lean condition.

If it is prematurely dirty due to running an oiled air filter like K&N and the drop in panel replacement style ones then yeah, it's worth attempting to clean.

Okay... so I'll be honest.. I don't have the time to read the 1621 pages. I would love to, really... but my wife would kill me. I've already spent 1.5hrs searching for the part numbers and still have to move a literal ton of hay... i need help finding the idler pullies right under the snout. Ive found the bearings... but being in the midwest... the pullies are nasty as well. Just bought the truck, and unfortunately the lack of maintenance is starting to show. I must fix lol.

I’d clean them up and paint them if it were mine. Then just slip in new bearings. I think those grooved pulleys are pretty spendy, like $100 or so. I’d contact superchargers online or Jon Bond superchargers to find the pulleys if you must have new.
