I haven’t seen anyone else try to install yet. I know a few of us ordered. @SUMOTNK did you give it a go yet? Def curious if you have the same issue.

Sorry no I haven't yet. Embarrassed to say that I spent the better part of the day Griswald'ing xmas lights + NFL.

I'll attempt to R&R one of the easier to reach coil packs tomorrow, check on fitment and report back.

This look good for the adjustment. It's barely touching and didn't move the bypass plate.

Seems close to what mine was. I just listened very closely until I could hear a ping and it was closed. I called txt @12TRDTacoma a billion times he was prob annoyed but if its shut then you should be good.

also good view of the coil packs. These are the 4runner 4.0 ones? Did you find that they were side dependent? The orientation you have they are more straight where mine almost are forced sideways. ( I will admit I did not try all of them but I assume they are all the same.

I see the issue comparing @jamesepoop photo and mine. The mounting location on the coil pack is swapped

Your coil pack footprint is the same as mine. Hope RIPP has a more elegant solution besides "push down" and super-snug that mounting bolt.

yah well see. @SUMOTNK also noticed that in the instructions they are the opposite orientation. the only way mine would fit was orienting the opposite but then it interferes with the valve cover. Well see tomorrow if he gets back to me.

Thanks. I never got it to ping until I let it sit. I backed it off and screwed it in a 180°. Plate is still closed.

As for the coils, you're right. Yours look close to the stock orientation. These 4R ones are flipped. All connectors are 2" off. The connector should face inwards to the intake manifold. I just spent yesterday and today soldering 48 joints to extend these, hunched over the engine bay was killer.

Yeah man if they were oriented that way it would have been perfect (minus the length of the coil packs). they do orient upwards as you noted but the thickness of the coilpack rubs on the valve cover. not sure that's good either way or how heat resistant they are when in contact, not just environment temps.

Why did you have to solder longer connections? I thought they were plug and play

@JuanitoBunito these are the 4R 4.0L application. Not the same as Taco/FJ apparently. You can pull the harness to fit but I figured this was safer to extend.

I assume its the same coil pack just a different fitment? I never picked up the T4R ones as they noted they would not work on tacomas. basically the newer roller rocker engines vs the older ones that are the same as Tacomas.

@JuanitoBunito there wasn't a big list like there is today. It used to be listed as 09-20 4runner V6 4.0L and 3.5L Tacoma applications.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Looking at motor/trans mounts. I see some offerings from DMZ, DTF, Bozen... Who has had luck with both being installed on a V6, 4X4, 6spd? Who is still active? DTF site is down. I want to source both from one fabricator. I know this was discussed here recently...
