Yes, the lack of activity/ head DTF site threw a flag. And Bozen doesn't list the 4X4 trans mount in his signature. But those look like the ones to get on page 1.

DMZ looks like gussets only. Or do they not have them listed on the site? No trans mount listed either. The frame boxing kit is tempting.

    Thanks Fellas

@Bonzen should have the 4x4 trans mount by end of year.

The dmz gussets are for 2005-2006 mounts. Those years had issues. They do have fully fabricated solid motor and trans mounts though. That’s what I’m running and they fit beautifully and are awesome. Just need to call them. Their site lacks a lot of stuff they actually have available. Highly recommended, plus Tim is a great guy

I’m running Dirt Designs solid engine and transmission mounts on my 4x4. I have the auto, not sure about the 6 speed.

I know you have a Frankenstein of a Taco so may not be apples to apples, but what did you notice with the install of the mounts? Did you do both at the same time? I'm hoping to gain some of the firmness that has been lost with high mileage and would like more of a precise feel. This is still a DD that does multiple +1k mi trips per year. I understand the race truck parts make race truck noises, but is it gnarly NVH?

    Frankenstein lol.

Yes I did engine and trans mounts at the same time shortly after going long travel. Biggest thing I noticed was quicker throttle response and an ever so slight rumble in the floor at idle. It’s crazy to think motor mounts would improve throttle response but it gets rid of the “lag” from saggy soft mounts that let the motor shift over before transferring power.

I did mine as a preventative measure due to excessive bouncing around in the desert and what not. Truck was also my dd at the time and I would say there are no negative side effects to this. Unless you really care about that slight rumble at idle

No worries. Yeah if you need them anyways, the solid mounts are the way to go.

Solid_offroad I think is bonzen pm on IG that’s how he’s been doing biz. I’m torn between solid or DMZ mounts but plan to get them from the same as well.

RIPP tested their prototype not a new one says it fits but at least in the photo it’s still rubbing the valve cover. Even then it still looks like it’s not fully on as he noted.

nice some folks I know got the solid ones which got me to start looking but found DMZ as another good option. Either way looks like both have years of people using them.

@SUMOTNK @alvinfromhawaii and whoever else may have ordered. Let me know if you guys can try fitment on the passenger side and see how it goes. Seems like this is going to be a he said she said but the fitment is so damn close that I'm surprised they did not take that into account so there was some room for adjustment.
