Thanks for the good words! This was a product of just letting my imagination run. I still have a slow race to the end but eyes on the prize

Tripod design can be quite strong unless one leg fails. I appreciate the heat sleeve around the wires though since heat is a silent killer. I did similar but wish I had fire sleeve kind of money.

Well I got the efan installed. A bit more effort than the instructions say but not too bad.
Enjoy this pic of my rat nest wiring job.

I keep telling myself one day I am gonna fix that lol.

Well my suspicion was warranted, on start up and shut down of the fan while it is unbalanced it does rub those arms. I imagine doing some hard core washboarded roads may allow enough flex for that to occur. Time will tell.

I really want to adapt the fan shroud that came with this fan. It’s just an inch short on each side but I feel like it could be modified to work.

The mounting point for the fan is super stout.

I can’t remember who wanted the part number but here it is.

I used those on my accord after my cat was stolen. Put a straight pipe and drilled a hole for the 02. Works perfectly.

Just drilled a hole and stuck it in?

Nice! So your saying the fan hits the mounts? Any tips on install? Do you think it could be adjusted? I would think they thought or noticed that.

More or less used one of those clamp on bungs so not fully just dropped in. Ghettos fab cat s job fure sure but now I can’t register it so need to get rid of it. The cat is way too much that’s needed for it in CA.

At normal resting point it does not hit. But they can flex quiet a bit. So when the fan is running it’s fine. It only happens on start up/shutdown of the fan. And my assumption which I have not yet proved is possibly it will do it when going down harsh roads, which would be worse because the fan will be at a higher speed.

Hmm yah that could be bad. Now I wonder who will come up with a better mount. I wonder if we had one that mounted all around the opening with the arms rather then individual pieces or an aluminum replacement shroud.

I think an aluminum shroud would be best like I think @loginfailed did and I am sure others.

    My shit is all stock.

How far off is the diameter here vs the Toyota shroud?

Also I forgot to add. When installing I had to drill out the screw holes for the fan on the brackets, and obviously the screw holes on the shroud. When installing I undid the lower oil cooler coolant line to help the shroud go down. Be careful how you position the clamp because you may make it so you cannot get your clamp easily. I ended up having to take the top one off after that.

also there is two wires coming out that have to connect to the battery. Both mine had red crimps so make sure the black wire (with out the massive fuse) goes to the negative.

Other than that, it was straight forward.

Makes sense. Did you do it without draining any coolant or removing any other lines? I figured I needed t remove the upper hose at a minimum. I am probably going to swap in a new mishi 160 t-stat as well so was planning on having that out already.

Now if we can get someone to make us an aluminum shroud that would pretty sweet.
