Could he have trimmed off a few inches on the side that goes on the radiator and let it drop in front of the tensioner?

Yup, there is an option to order just the lower hose as well.

He was having a shop do it. His mechanic called him and sent him these pictures. I’m sure they talked about alternatives to the appropriate install, that being a possibility. In the end they didn’t think it be a good idea

I had them at one point. When Thomas showed me his pics I sold mine. Now that they are back out for our application I’ll most likely buy again

If you did not seal the shroud well enough that would do it. I almost blew my trans up and it was from the CSF not sealing on the shroud.

What's the benefit of getting HPS hoses? This may not be a big deal but saw this note: Remark: Silicone hose water permeation rate is 10 to 15 times greater than standard EPDM rubber hose. Checking water level regularly is highly recommended when silicone coolant hoses are used in a daily driving vehicle.

Also I don't see free shipping on the kit. It is marked down $10 but has a shipping charge. figured if I do get it to get the heater kit too shipping was almost $40.

If you're talking about single ply vs single ply, perhaps that is true. HPS uses 3-ply, so I'm not for certain, but it may hold up better with a hotter engine bay. Also, aesthetically more pleasing. HAHA!

that's what the product page says so curious how much you have to worry about water. The biggest thing I see as you noted is holding up heat better. Did you get the heater coolant lines as well?

Crap, I didn't see it. Free shipping is only available on orders $250 or more. My bad.

Also over 250 the code doesn't work anyway. (shipping is only $2.97) haha big savings. Funny thing is the cheap shipping shows up if you add a sticker but the shipping code isn't working. If not its 25-30 bucks

HAHA! I'll have to let him know about that. Good find! Should let everyone know to add a sticker to their order for lower shipping cost.

This is weird. I have the hoses in my cart, and shipping quote is $6.80, and when I add a $5 sticker to the order, it goes up to $7.79. LOL!! My shipping cost is low, probably because I only live 2 cities away from them, but also, I can go pick up as well. I believe shipping rates are different, depending if you choose USPS or UPS/FEDEX options. USPS is usually cheaper.
