    I put mine back in yesterday because I thought I was hearing some knocking at initial throttle when it used to not be there. Then again my plugs are shot to shit and in need of replacement so it could be a combination of things.

    You can use welding tips as a substitute.

    It really isn't a huge deal unless you are having lean tip in issues.

    You could always leave the restrictor out of the valve, cut the vacuum line where it is easily acceptable, and add a restrictor there. Make sure you have tight connections on it to prevent vacuum leaks.

    I had mine out yesterday when I had my sc off for 640cc injectors. I drilled half way down the restrictor with a 1/16" drill bit. I figured it still has the small orifice but less restriction since that restrictor is about 1/2" long.

    I don't believe tip in issues should exist if you are properly tuned on your truck, but since most of us do not have a solid and stable tune the issues appear with it removed. Of course like I was saying it may not be everyone who is experiencing that issue.

    I got the 2.5 so there is already a lot more speed on the pulley since it is smaller and a lot of extra boost that otherwise normally doesn't exist with the bigger pullies.

    I took my restrictor jet back out after installing the 640cc injectors. Haven’t noticed the lean tip in that I did before.

    Ah yeah, so I believe removing the restrictor if you have mods only amplifies the shortcomings of the 455cc injectors and the incredibly rich TRD tune. If you are tuned right and have the proper fueling support you should have no issues running restrictor off especially with lean tip in issues.

    I decided on a SpeedHut gauge, anyone know what the difference between all of the AFR gauges they have. Some say AEM, some Innovate, but to my knowledge all those use the LSU 4.9 sensors anyway so what's the deal

    The different controllers have different output voltages / slopes or whatever. Just get the one that matches your wide band controller.

    Ah okay that makes sense. Hmm I wonder if I can get an AEM wideband controller minus the gauge, really the only thing I would want other than being able to view the AFR instantly would be the output feature for linking with a piggyback or logger.
