76mm throttle body installed .. might be defective tho. Throwing P2111 and going into limp mode. Won’t have time to mess with it this week.

    Radiator installed
    NST pulleys installed

I recall someone posting the same thing, back when the S/C group buy was going on. Shows available but then they tell you it’s not available. Bummer!

I have the same problem with the 70mm, P2111. I had it on for about a week, smooth sailing and then things went south. Tried cleaning adjusting tinkering etc with no luck. I put the 65mm back on and it runs like a champ.

It was fun trying to get home from the barber shop with the thing going into limp mode every time I let off the gas! Thankfully the Maestro module let me reset the code through the radio. Took about 11 times resetting the code to get all the way home, LOL

You can try changing the cover plate with your 65mm. I did when I was doing some testing and it worked fine on the 76mm tb. The cover plate transfers throttle position to the ecu via a hall effect sensor attached to the tb butterfly gear.

I just pop riveted my cover plate back on but @loginfailed had a great idea and tapped threads in his tb and used screws.

Let us know if you try this and how it works out. I'm curious if this is a solid fix. There really isnt that much to these tb's.20180202_131357.jpg 20180201_153354.jpgHere is the sensor on the cap.20180201_153243.jpg The sensor on the cap fits into the recess on this gear. This is the tb butterfly gear. There is a center gear (removed in this pic) that connects the motor to the butterfly.

Anyone else having issues with the larger throttle bodies?

@loginfailed, I'm guessing the cover plate swap didn't fix the issue if you put the stock TB back on?

Right. I haven't swapped covers. I have one TB that works (original 65mm) and one that doesn't (70mm). I don't want to risk taking apart my good one. It's not really a priority for me. I was planning on re-visiting it later on.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I have seen that a number of times with Camelback and others.

So far had good luck ordering from Toyota of dallas

I have a 76mm throttle body. No problems at all. Have had it for about 2000 miles and Probly over a year.

Do you really notice a power difference with the 76mm TB when the TRD SC inlet is 65mm?

No idea. I installed it when I put my supercharger on. Got mine for free so I figured why not. I’ll eventually port the supercharger snout as much as I can.

I noticed better throttle response and more top end.
I just datalogged a run last weekend after installing 640cc injectors. Pulled 351g/s which equates to roughly 415 crank hp.
    Mods include:
    Port matched supercharger
    Mildly ported lower intake manifold
    2.5 pulley. 11psi
    640cc injectors
    URD headers
    Custom exhaust
    URD intake
    UCON
    76mm tb

I have thought about removing the stock supercharger inlet and welding a flange near the 180° bend. The throttle body would mount to the flange.20170525_215806.jpg sc inlet after porting.
20170509_123801.jpg Before porting. Notice how the inlet gets larger right after the flange.
