Very Very cool looking!!! Warning to you though sir. Using different metals like this is dangerous long term due to the galvanic corrosion that occurs. Basically, any metals that are less "noble" than titanium will sacrifice itself for the titanium. In other words....steel will rust at a more rapid pace especially where heat/moisture is present.

Speaking of pulleys, I’ve driven now 2-3 weeks since my oil change. Driven hard at higher rpms purposely to see if I can get the belt to slip off the pulley by a rib like I found it after the oil change.......nothing.....it’s on there tight and as good as it ever was.

Nothing...... I never had a problem with my belt or pulley....ever and I’m under my hood quite often> I went in for an oil change at the dealer. I got a complimentary car wash and pulled in next door to an empty lot. I popped my hood to wipe off my engine like I always do and saw my belt was off my pulley by a rib. I went home and put it back on. I’ve opened my hood a few times since to check it. I honestly believe the punk tech did it. I hate saying that but like I said. I’ve never had that happen. The wrap mod is on there and my belt is tight as fuck. No way that did it on its own.

oh yeah I recall. the only thing else if they had to move the belt for some reason and just didn't take the time to make sure it was on correctly on the lower pulleys. The top would look correct. Pure laziness or worse they messed with it.

I always mark the filter with how many miles I have.....so the old filter going in had a “45k” written on it. Maybe that pissed the guy off ....

yah interesting. I have not had the truck back at a dealer since 2015 maybe. Almost forgot how much of a pain it can be.

I’ll give them one more shot. But, just prior to pulling into the bay I’ll snap a pic of the engine bay and do the same thing with a car wash after.

Engine oil is so easy to change on these trucks I would rather do it myself even if the dealer ones were free. Especially since the oil change guys aren’t even Techs. They are just kids getting paid minimum wage

Around 4.5 or just make sure your torque arm is calibrated

@JustDSM thanks for your assistance today; truly appreciate it.

@JuanitoBunito same to you sir :hattip:

got the headers on, almost done buttoning everything up. Couldn’t get the bung plug out of the collector area so the O2 sensors are going to be stuck in the middle tube position until a later date.

Still gotta connect the steering shaft (I was beckoned to eat dinner)

for the stubborn bung plug I tried to get crafty and weld the Allen socket to the bung but even it didn’t work (plug stripped out on first attempt :annoyed:)

Happened to me. The stock one came off fairly smooth. The URD one didn't play as nice. Can't imagine the aluminum being any easier

is there an actual gasket between the header flange and the start of the Y-pipe? I did not notice one when I removed the exhaust manifolds . . . ?

EDIT: definitely looks like there is one based off the manual.

Yes, there’s small circular metal reinforced gaskets.

You can get fel pro branded ones at the part houses. Don’t have to wait for oem on those.
