Disconnect the steering shaft and loosen the bolts to the starter enough to wiggle it out of the way. It’ll make the driver side much easier.

 

You can also peek from the wheel well and line them up. Mark and disconnect steering shaft and you should be ok. Maybe remove the starter is another thing that might be needed

It took me awhile to catch up. I didn't know you had seen the video. I talked to @DocME earlier today and I got a hint that the video was out there. What started as new Kelford cams became a problem and we decided to go big. I dunno. It may all go to shit, but we're gonna make a try.

 

What all are you doing or did you do??

 

The motor is out of the truck at EPR in Alvarado, TX and in pieces. It's about to get a full rebuild. Attached is the file sans pricing. You are correct to think this is the most moronic thing you have ever seen for a Tacoma. I don't care. I am concerned that the Magnuson won't be able to feed the rebuild, but we'll find out. Hate away.​

 

Holy jeebus can't wait to see where this goes. My only concern on your list is if that ATI damper will fit w/ the supercharger pulley. If it does please let us know!

 

We'll see. I saw that and wondered the same. This company builds race motors for quite a few people and I'm a little stoked to have a fully balanced motor with solid motor mounts and forged internals. Bigger valves and total porting have to move more air. The engine is basically an air pump as we have discussed. We will add meth injection and tuning with HPT. We will dyno the truck. I'm ready to have it back.

 

What's your HP goal? I mean for instant power the maggie is great, but I think it may be a bit small if you are going for big big power. But if you are going for all top end the pro charger may be the way to go. Or slap a snail in there

 

Builder says 5-600 is good with this configuration. More requires internal mods. I want to see where we are with the Magnuson. I think Procharger is the next step if the Magnuson can’t flow the air.

 

On another note, I spent Christmas alone in BigBend. It was unbelievable. If you get the chance, do it.

 

No one will hate in this thread or the performance section. The rest of tw on the other hand are too busy adding more LEDs and rtts to appreciate.

 

It doesn't fit. The center of the ATI damper is not wide enough to fit the maggy pulley and the ATI has bolts that hold the damper together. I ordered one before my build @ThomasMore66 and they said they didn't have time to custom make one with the main pulley. That may have changed since 2 years ago when I bought it.

 

Potentially the fluidampr will be a good fit with the booster if they have enough interested parties.

The maggy feeds my 4.5L but it's definitely pushing the limit. A procharger or snail would have been a better option. I can push 9-10psi on a 2.3 pulley but that's at the edge of the efficiency Island. With our built internals and the right FI- I would think pushing 16psi or maybe more would be safely possible
