    all good to know. I will only be deleting the downstream cats to keep it somewhat legal. I have a set of hopefully one-day legal DT shorty headers ill be mating to the stock ones upstream. So just pop the stock o2 sensor into the pipe and good to go? Do I need to run anything on HP tuner at this point or just if I had them deleted up top?

    The merge point is/was shit sized at about 2.25-2.5". I made it a true 3".. still collecting data on if its better but a true equal length system should do good with a little bit of restriction. As for the video I said I would take of the sound-it sounded so different in the clip I took- I felt it wasn't an accurate representation.

    Looks like a Gen2.5 TRD Sport, but really an '08 TRD OffRoad
    TRD Supercharged / OTT Tuned
    Got the ZZP IC pump installed and powered up. The plug fits uncomfortably loose even when pinching the clips narrower before connection. Had to use a ziptie to "squeeze" the clips so it remains secure.

    I looked at the swirl tank after. Cant tell if thats a good indicator of more flow volume but the coolant whirlpool didnt look like it was spinning faster.

    I understand that completely.

    Years ago, on a few people's trucks with the URD y-pipe, I influenced them (after having done it myself) to remove the outlet flange which was there to bolt to an OEM or aftermarket catback. That merge had a 3" section that then reduced quickly to what was a 2.5" outlet. Taking that flange off and making it a 3" outlet, changed the tone that it was easily evident something was different to a bystander.

    It was also enough to make an improvement, if I remember correctly, on the TRD s/c truck that had it done. Looong time ago on that. Pretty sure a before and after dyno was done. All vague at this point. After that. Many mufflers were added. Lol

    I feel it's deceiving to look at the flow in the reservoir. With two pumps in parallel I have to be flowing around 30% faster than stock, but looking at the whirlpool that's not obvious. Even when I compared it to my friend's which has one stock pump, I was like hmm... it has to be flowing faster but it doesn't really look like it.

    This is the page I was looking at, ya. I originally thought I was comparing points 1 and 3, but upon re-reading it, if the head stays the same, then flowrate is approximately doubled - I would assume on these systems that both suction and discharge head remain approximately the same when two pumps are in parallel, so flowrate should be about doubled - although with some additional losses from extra piping and such, probably more like a 80-90% increase.

    Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
    If you do gut, I would try to get a through-pipe installed to avoid unwanted sounds and a hindrance to flow with all the added turbulence in the enlarged vessel.
